Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms for Improvement I'm a Platinum member and I'm disappointed with this property. The room was not clean. We found loose pharmaceutical pills on the floor. There were used bars of soap in the bathroom. The coffeemaker was broken. There were no pens or paper in the room. Breakfast was another unfortunate story. The staff was completely disorganized. Guest's orders were lost, wrong meals were delivered, we received two checks for different amounts while another table had to wait for their tab to be delivered from our table. I waited ten minutes for the payment processing and finally ended up retrieving my card and paying cash just so I could get on the road. The next night we stayed in Carlisle PA, a much better experience. I'm a loyal IHG member, in fact I also have time shares in Myrtle Beach and Orange Lakes. This last trip the wireless was not working at the south end of the building ( a recurring problem if you get the end rooms on the 4th Deck). Night staff brought me a cable up to connect to the wall. One minor nit was that rust was starting to bleed through at the base of the bath. March 19, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable beds and expensive water. The beds here are sunken in the middle, so you had no choice but to sleep there. There were numerous handles missing from the drawers in our room and the bathroom faucet leaked. We could of had a panty with theamount of popcorn we found under one of the beds. Then they want to charge you $1.00 for a .20 bottle of CVS water. As a platinum member I was offered one of these free along with some mixed nuts, really. I also had the option of getting a free drink from their bar, but only if I purchased a meal. And what Holiday Inn doesn't have free breakfast?, this one. Needless to say this Holiday Inn will not be in our list of future places to stay in Santee SC. March 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our stay at Holiday Inn, Santee The front desk staff was very professional and the greeting was warm and friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant. Service was adequate and the food was good but not spectacular. We a attempted to eat breakfast in the restaurant but ended up leaving due to slow, poor service. The restaurant had only one other table occupied at the time. It took over 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were there and after another 5 minutes our water had not yet been delivered to our table. That is when we decided to go elsewhere. March 8, 2014

Our breakfast was a delight because of the service, friendliness, and cooking of the staff. We do plan to stop again on our next trip. March 3, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight stop for snowbirds My wife, our pet Maltese and I stopped for overnight stays during our trek to Destin, FL and back.. This Holiday Inn provided us with our best halfway overnight stop since we began spending part of winter in Florida. The room was quiet and clean; the bed was comfortable and there was ample space in the bathroom. February 13, 2014

We had stayed here last time we came down. The staff is great they even remembered us. Like we were family. The restaurant has the best fried chicken and the people to go with it. The hotel entrance and lobby area was clean and inviting. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. We had an outstanding stay. February 8, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best for IHG! Checked in December 31st....Comfotable bed, clean room but some upkeep needed....noisy AC fan....burnt bulbs.... Staff in dining room wanted to party New Years Eve, we we're there for an early supper, we we're served our food which was OK but never asked if we wished a beverage, desert or....bill left on table and that was it....IF STAFF DOESN'T WANT TO WORK DON'T OPEN OR OFFER THE SERVICE! Good breakfast next morning made up for the experience previous evening. For a newer hotel we found general upkeep was lacking. January 22, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Freeze Heater couldn't handle freezing weather. Staff responded quickly but couldn't fix it. Unit made noise until 2 am. They offered to relocate us but with pet & handicap, there was too much to do & room wasn't unbearably cold. Just uncomfortable.. I did feel that hotel should have turned the heater on early to ensure that it worked since we had a reservation for that specific room & the unprecedented cold weather was predicted. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The only place we will stay! We travel from MD to FL three or four times a year. We plan our trip so that we always spend the night here in the Holiday Inn at Santee. We have stayed at other places and been very uncomfortable with the cleanliness and comfort. The rooms here are always clean, and the beds are so comfortable. We would highly recommend this place. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bathroom, telephone The bathroom sink faucet sprayed water all over the counter top. Also, the telephone handset cord was disconnected when we arrived and the connector clip was broken. This was the first time that we had experienced shoddy housekeeping at this property in over 6 visits. Moreover, there is no one tending the front desk at check out time. I had to search for him and it delayed out departure. This is the second time this has occurred at this property in the same week. I hope that things will improve here as we have been good customers in the past. But, if the next experience is not up to standards, we will find another property. Would you please get my IHG Rewards number off of your invalid list. This has caused delays at check in. January 1, 2014

I was treated just as any other traveler. I will not stay at this location again. On a consolation, the ladies in the dining area that served breakfast were very friendly. December 19, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Facility, Lousy Food The heading says it all. The room was clean, well organized and spacious. The downside was the noise that emanated from the elevator each time it was activated. It seems that the rooms located behind the elevator suffer from this noise pollution. The pillow were hard, but that I guess is personal taste. The one thing I recommend is to not bother with the free breakfast. The quality of the food is sub-par. December 6, 2013

Front desk did not recognize the rewards status except 2 bottles of water and free limited breakfast voucher and a drink voucher if you bought an app. The room we had was clean and the size of a small basketball court but furnished for a regular room. The TV was disproportionately small for such a large room and from the bed you could hardly see the picture. Bar staff was not friendly and spent more time in a booth talking to someone rather than behind the bar. Front desk staff was on the computer near the front door both when we checked in and when we checked out. December 3, 2013
