During 2013 I stayed on this hotel almost once a month and the experience is always great.
Location, quality of room, modern facilities are a plus because the greatest thing about this hotel is the staff. Every single individual are courteous and proactive making me fell like in home, special thanks to my friend Michael.

I was just a wonderful experience. I must highlight the amazing staff and the excellent food. I won't hesitate if I have future oportunities to go to Santo Domingo.

I have been to SDQ many times over the last few years but always stayed at the Intercontinental which is now the Crowne Plaza to earn Intercontinental stay credits. Since the brand changed I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn which I found to be a beautiful property. It is smaller but also newer and very chic. Urpi in the coffee was sweetheart, I enjoyed having a daily coffee there and also enjoyed the friendly reception by Urpi.

Continuous loud, ambient music in this hotel is tiresome. Management ignored two requests to turn down blaring music at pool when I was only one there. Nobody mentioned the motion sensor that shuts off power to room when you leave, ensuring the alarm will flash 12 continually and your presumably charging laptop and devices will be dead when you return. Printer wasn't working on checkout. Despite assurances, had to search for hotel's email and beg for invoice so I could expense. Invoice finally arrived days later and was someone else's. The folio indicated a charity contribution I was not asked to approve. Manager refused to remove it from my (I assume it's my?) bill. Someone else's name is on my receipt. Not worth the effort. I'll be staying elsewhere next time.

As platinum Ambassador I was upgraded to a great room with two exceptions: faced the street and windows not effective in cutting out street noise, and wireless internet service was very poor with poor connectivity and slow response time even though was on the upgraded package. Front desk staff were exceptional - best service I have experienced in the IHG hotel network this year and that includes the Intercontinentals that I frequently stay at. A good value and good location for my business activities, but really needs to improve upon wireless system as critical to my needs.

I love to stay here when I travel to Santo Domingo. The quality of the services as overall are excelents. But more important are the quality of the people that works in the hotel. They make me feel like home.
