Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Restaurant We stay at this hotel quite often, almost every weekend during the summer months. We keep our boat in the Marina in Sarasota, so we like to spend the weekends there. The hotel is always clean, smells great, and the staff at the front desk is super polite, accommodating, and helpful! Scott is our favorite, but everyone on the front desk is great! The only problem we find when we go there is the hotel's Sports Bar restaurant :0( The waitresses are always rude, never a smile on their faces, they must get compensated pretty bad! We are even afraid of asking for something, they don't even look at your face! The food is fairly OK, but the service at that restaurant MUST improve! I would rate this hotel Excellent as our overall experience if it was not for that. So, if you go there, plan NOT to eat at that restaurant, and you will have a fun stay! July 12, 2013

The front desk personnel is absolutely the most accommodating and friendly employees I have ever met, the most impressive being a young man named Scott. He goes above and beyond for the guests. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Item Not Found I stayed at this location on Wednesday, May 30th. and check out the next day. I inadvertently left my electric toothbrush in the bathroom. I called Friday morning and spoke with housekeeping. I explained that I left the toothbrush in the room and asked if housekeeping found it. I was told that the toothbrush was not found. It is very upsetting to know that someone would have taken a personal item as a toothbrush and not return. The electric toothbrush cost me $75 and it can not be used unless it is cherged. I am disappointed that the staff did not turn in the toothbrush. I frequent this location several times throughout the year and have recommended this location to other business associates. I will warn them about the toothbrush bandit. June 4, 2013

The staff was outstanding in catering our dinner, providing help with the myriad of things that come up when you're dealing with a large group, and making our stay very smooth and pleasant. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel with EXCELLENT Customer Service!! In addition to being a beautiful and new (less than 2 years old) Hotel, this is far from a "typical" Holiday Inn. The décor is upscale and the attention to detail...from the "waterfall" in the elevator lobby to the central dining area with skylights...is visually interesting and appealing. Best of all is the staff who was VERY helpful with everything from making sure my stay was enjoyable and comfortable to providing me with directions around Sarasota and offering great recommendations for dining. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by when on top priority floor there should not be a bunch of running screaming teens able to play in the halls and on elevator all night, there is a reason to have a priority level that only key members can access the top floor, the price of my room was wasy over priced. also the next morning while sitting outside drinking coffe i look over toward the indoor pool area and this young girl is completly naked and taking a shower at pool area, i was grossed out. The manager on the night shift did reduce my room cost, but i did not get any rest. not sure if i will go back to that hotel, it would have been a great stay, but screaming kids and naked girls at pool area, nope,,and for the price,,wow,, April 16, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Manager and Staff were great We had a minor clitch but the Manager went above and beyond to take care of it. The staff was very friendly at all times. The room was modern, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It is a few miles farther but worth the short drive to get great value and service. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again. It is taking care of the little details that makes the stay worthwhile. April 3, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I paid 2 months in advance to get a smaller room Horrible - someone overbooked the hotel. Upon my arrival I was told how "lucky" I was to have the very last room. Lucky? I paid in FULL for a room for THREE adults TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE - don't tell me I am "lucky" and then I get to the very last room and guess what? It has one bed!! A room I booked for THREE ADULTS, I am an adult woman traveling with my 5 month PREGNANT sister and my mother who is getting over a broken back- where am I to sleep?? I got to sleep on a roll out mattress.........worst experience ever! March 22, 2013

I was amazed about the cool interior, elevators behind a modern waterfall, and very comfortable and rooms which did not insult my senses like in so many other cooky-cutter hotels. It feels like a boutique hotel in many ways. I have to say I will definitely stay there again. February 26, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic property! What a wonderful hotel. The property is amazing. It has a spa with hot tub, sauna, steam room, and jetted swimming pool. It opens up onto a beautiful outdoor area with cabannas, outdoor seating, and a fire pit. The restaurant/bar had good food and the best margarita I've had for a while. You know it's good when the locals hang out there. This is one of the best Holiday Inn properties we've ever visited. It's totally peaceful, quiet , and relaxing. A great stay.... January 31, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great place - bad noise Though I was in a corner room, the central atrium design made every sound from the lobby and bar drift up to my room on the 5th floor! In most hotels I can use the fan in the room to drown out sound, but these HVAC units had automatic fans that cut off once desired temp was reached. All the atrium noise prevented me from sleeping until well after midnight. The hotel is clean and lovely, with great amenities not usually found at this price, like heated indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. The room was nice. Too bad one can't get sleep there! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Staff Don't Compensate for Malfunctioning Internet We chose this property in part for the advertised free Internet. Well, we could get online, but we couldn't actually connect to any sites. The front desk staff acknowledged that lots of guests have the same problem. They told us to call the provider, but the provider was mystified and couldn't help. Three days later, when we were leaving (having spent lots of money in the meantime at cafes that had WiFi, so desperate were we), we heard that the system was being overhauled by professionals, but I don't know if it was ever actually fixed. I had the impression the hotel staff had been aware of the problem and troubled by it for quite some time, but corporate was taking no action. The staff was apologetic, but I never would have chosen this hotel if I'd known my laptop and my kids' iPads would be useless to us there. Also, the maid left dirty room service dishes in the room when she serviced it. How weird is that?! And the restaurant served stale tortilla chips. And the pool was so over-chlorinated that our eyes watered just sitting near it. And at check-out the front desk didn't offer us the free water that was available for Priority Club members -- I had to ask for it (because I saw the bags that said "Priority Club" on them). The place clearly needs new management. It's a nice facility, and the location is fine if you keep your expectations low, so it could be excellent if someone competent were in charge. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service Unable to get towels. None at the front desk. Waited 2 hours and still had to use pool towels for shower. Front desk did not have access to supplies. Could not get down the hall way. Maid carts in the middle of the hallway. Trying to use the elevator during check out time and staff had one closed for cleaning. 20 years in the business and I must say nice new place but staff lacks training. January 25, 2013

We arived at the Hotel on Thursday Dec 20th, were greeted very nicely by the young Lady working that day, that night it was good, the second night was terrible! we were on the 4th floor and there was a party outside the bar on the ground level, it was so noisy that 4 floors up we could here loud music, after calling the front desk well after midnight the gentleman at the front desk said he would ask the batrender to quiet down a bit, then the party moved inside, to make matters worse the noise just echoed throughout the lobby and was terrible. We did not get to sleep until 1am and had to be up early to catch a flight. January 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great new years eve we had the king bed jacuzzi suite and it met all our expectations. it was very clean and very quiet. i was concerned being by the airport that it would be noisy. not at all, the only problem we had was getting the jacuzzi bath tub to fill up and operate. but a courteous staff member helped with that. we ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent and well priced. we will recommend . Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Morning Coffee The only downside was the lack of coffee available early morning in the lobby. The coffee bar doesn't open till 6AM so I was stuck with in room coffee. Most HI's, especially close to Airports have coffee / tea available in the lobby anytime. Other than that, I'd stay here again when I come back. December 10, 2012

The two fellows (night staff) who accommodated us in changing rooms were both very good and pleasant to deal with. As was the maintenance staff person who tried to fix the A/C in the first room. Can't say the same for the restaurant staff when we went in for breakfast the next day. (We ate in the restaurant not the buffet.) Overall the hotel looks good but quality of fixtures, lighting, carpet etc. could be better. December 10, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly Recommended My Dad and I stayed at this Holiday Inn and we were well received. The Staff is friendly and helpful. The Hotel is beautiful! The breakfast menu was great. My hat goes off to the Chef…. Your Menu items from 11AM to 11PM are fantastic. The Sports Bar is a great place to hang out and watch your favorite teams play. Saturday and Sunday happy hour was great. This hotel offers so much and it is so close to the airport. We loved it! We are looking forward to our next stay. Thank you! November 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Room, Nice Lounge I found this to be one of the more relaxing stays I have enjoyed at a Holiday Inn. The Hotel had a very new feel and the rooms was nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. The downstairs lounge was a nice aspect to the stay, and the gym was wonderful. The only con was the location is a little isolated, although ideally situated for my work, there was not much around in the way of shops, restaurants and night life. November 21, 2012
