Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel & Service Just wanted to say it was a very good stay at this hotel. Room 402 was perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We traveled from Pittsburgh, Pa to get out of the cold and we can't say enough about the Florida hospitality. Paul at the front desk was very polite and helpful directing use to locations in the area. Dining was very good and the resturant staff provided excellent service. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful view of beach from front of hotel. This was the worst place we have every stayed. We were told we were getting an upgraded room.....it was full of mold, the drapes were filthy, the bed skirting was filthy dirty. The bathroom needs updating badly. February 23, 2015

Renovated room was recommended and we stayed in one on lower floor. Would hope for a higher room and more renovations complete if we return. Food options were limited. It would be helpful to have an area to purchase simple items for fridge. Milk, yogurt, room snacks, etc. We did not find anywhere in walking distance to get some simple things from the room to avoid needing to eat in restaurants for all meals. February 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, way overpriced I have been coming to the Holiday Inn Lido Beach for years and had noticed that as the prices rose, the hotel got more run down. I was happy to see the recent improvements to the overall physical condition of the hotel, but the price was exorbitant. When I called for a reservation (granted, it was very last minute) I was lead to believe that I could only get this very pricey room without a view. It didn't feel as though the hotel was full or that all beach front rooms were taken. I was happy to be there because it was so convenient for what I wanted to do for those two days and I can't complain about the stay, but I felt I paid much more than a Holiday Inn room is worth, even if it is right on the Gulf beach. I don't think I'll return--and I'd never recommend it to value-conscious people. February 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Once the renovations are done, the hotel will be great You cannot beat the location for this hotel. The view from our hotel balcony was great. The beach was great. The hotel pool was nice. The bar/lunch service at the pool was nice. Renovations are underway to improve the guestrooms. Our room certainly needed updating. The floor of the tub/shower was coming loose, making it hard to balance while showering. Breakfast was not complimentary, which is a negative. However, our waiter was fantastic and very accommodating, even offering something that was not on the menu to better meet our needs. February 20, 2015
