Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by comedy of errors which weren't funny Our bad experience at this hotel began with our reservations. We were staying as part of a bar mitzvah party and originally reserved two rooms. Even after cancelling one room weeks ahead of time, they still had us booked for 2 rooms the day before we checked in. We got in late at night (about 11pm) to find that the heat in our room was broken (it was cold as it was Mid-October). The room was freezing all night and when we reported the problem in the morning, they had to replace the entire heating unit. As we were leaving in the morning (9am), we told our housekeeper to please have our room ready for us by our return time, 1pm, as we would need to quickly change to attend our next event. We arrived back at 2pm only to find the housekeeper in our room cleaning! Why wasn't our room ready earlier as we requested? This interrupted our entire schedule as we were not able to get into our room to change our clothes as we planned. Lastly, our gift bag, with all of the bar-mitzvah information, including times and locations of events, was not given to us upon check in; it was given to us the following afternoon, so it was virtually useless. We complained to the person on duty at the front desk who informed us that the manager wasn't in, but they would credit us $50 per night towards our stay due to the heat problem and excessive miscommunications. This hotel is shabby, dated and desperately in need of a renovation. There was a lot of garbage, empty soda and beer bottles left in the hallway all weekend, and a heap of dirty towels were left in the hallway outside of our room for over 24 hours. It was disgusting. The hotel is in a wonderful location and has a lot of amenities, like indoor and outdoor pools, decent exercise room and bar/restaurant, but due to our poor experience we will not be staying here again.
