I've never written a review, however in this case I have to make an exception. This was one of the best conference experiences I have had. The front desk employees had us signed in as soon as we arrived. My room was spotless. I didn't need to have the maid come in on the second day, but I clearly could see where she still came into the room and completed every detail, down to the mints on the table! The food was very good, and very well displayed. The staff was very attentive, making sure that not one dirty dish/glass was left on the table. I must say that that every staff member, from the front desk, housekeeping, waitresses/waiters, to the painter I met in the hall, all were so very friendly.

Staying in Saratoga Springs during the spring is just great. To make it even better the Holiday Inn supplied all my needs and then some. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The restaurant has fine dinning at a reasonable price. I would never stay any where else when visiting Saratoga Springs.

Stayed for one night and location was great to walk everywhere. We were in town for a birthday party downtown. We had a great time until we were back in the room. The bed frame stuck out about 5 inches for under the bed into the walk way and was snapped off. However it could not be seen until you tripped over it since the bed skirt was covering it up. This room should not be given out until the correct size bed or frame is installed. Had I known before we went to bed, I would have asked to be moved from room 307. When we awoke my wife tripped over the hazard and cut her ankle on the jagged edge. I reported it to the front desk, who was very nice about and gave me form to fill out. Not sure what the form will do as that was the last we heard and I was not offered any consolation or if I was even a Priority Club member, but I filled out the form. My wife's ankle was still swollen through the following week. I've been a priority club member for a long time and could not believe I used my points for this room. I've never had this type of thing happen to me anywhere I've stayed before and although the front desk staff was nice the concern seemed to be more about the form. Would I stay here again, probably. I will closely inspect the room when we arrive - and everywhere else moving forward.

We were up there on April 13, 2013. First, this hotel is well located, you can walk to must restaurants, shops, park, etc.
However, I had a terrible night. First, even if I made a reservation for 2 queens bed, but since there were a bridal party at that hotel, and only 2 rooms on each floors with queen beds, they got them.
Since the hotel was full, we couldn't change room.
There was also a reunion going on and we were lucky enough to get a room next to the party boys. From 3:30 AM until 5:15 AM, they were loud, drinking, laughing. I called the front desk asking them to send someone. They did, but nothing changed. They send someone else around 5:00 AM, I guest others complained as well.
In the morning, I asked for another breakfast voucher, since we were 3 in the room (only got 2) due to our lack of sleep. The lady agreed, but didn't apologize at all for our lack of sleep. Bad service. Should have received a discount!

The room was clean and I was pleasantly suprised to not hear the frat partiers or the beauty pagaent guests during the night. The staff was hospitable and seemed to enjoy their jobs/careers. The smiles were infectious.

Enjoyed the accommodations and the convenience of the restaurant/bar and the proximity to the event I was attending.
Staff were very helpful; hotel very clean. The section of the hotel where we had rooms had a certain old-world feel to it...felt very solid.

We chose Holiday Inn because our oldest son had his wedding reception here and it was convenient for us. The staff was wonderful, polite, helpful and very courteous. The management was very kind to give us a wedding discount even after the room had been paid for. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others to do as well.

Our stay was pretty good. We were in town for a wedding which was actually a block away at the Canfield Casino. Nice and easy walk.
Entry/bar/dining area was well kept and rather inviting. Fireplace on the patio was a nice touch. Bar pricing was inline or better than the area. We had one meal at the hotel. Breakfast was on par. Rooms were pretty standard. Small issues here and there but nothing to complain about. Prices were about par for the usage and area.
All in all, a good experience for the price. Building is old and renovations were ample but showed. What can you do? It's an old building. Staff was friendly and turn over service was quick and efficient. Exterior was pretty well kept. Pool was warm and seemed clean. Banquet rooms seemed clean and orderly and were heavily in use during our stay.

Great location....it's close to downtown. You can walk to countless restaurants. If you're not in the mood to venture out, the food is great at Bookmakers. It's not the newest of motels...but it is very clean and the rooms and beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating I stay here on business whenever I come to Saratoga.

We stay at this hotel at least once a year and love the fact that they take pets! You can not beat the location and this year we got the same person to check us in/out as in previous years. She was wonderful! We love this hotel and are looking forward to our next stay and hope they never change their pet policy!

Hotel was very nice, lobby was very attractive, restaurant and bar staff were very nice. Nice menu choices and reasonably priced. Cleaning staff left a bit to be desired. Didn't replenish bathroom tolietries, hand towels or wash cloths. Left dirty/used washcloth in shower. Never replenished in room coffee or empty coffee maker. I believe they watched TV, when we left room on Saturday morning the TV was off, when we returned that evening TV was on and angled towards the loveseat in room.

I stayed just one night for a conference held at the hotel. I appreciated the $5.00 off food or drink voucher, received upon check-in -sweet! The outdoor fire pit provided a perfect place to chat with fellow conference attendees, just outside of the bar. Short walk to downtown for dinner and shopping too. I have always enjoyed my stay here.

I stay at this hotel each year when I am attending a conference. The rooms are clean. The meals in the restaurant are very good and this last visit, I called room service. The food and service were good. I would recommend this Holiday Inn to everyone.

Met some High School friends in Saratoga for a Girls Weekend.
First impression was the spaces in the parking lot extremely tight. Had to exit my car sideways to get out between the cars. Shortage of spaces in lot, late arrivals could not find parking.
Check in was painful, could not find my reservation, had spelled my last name wrong. As I was walking away from the front desk, we overheard the girls whispering about us, not professional. The lobby area in front of the elevator very small and congested. Room was average, very clean, very small bathroom. Was disappointed in the size of room/bath compared to other HI I have stayed at. Location was nice right up the hills from shops/restaurants. Did not utilize the restaurant/bar as hotel was crowded for a scrapbooking convention. Dunkin Donuts across the street a plus! Saratgoa itself was a pleasant surprise....would probably look for other accomadations next time in Saratoga.

Our non smoking room smelled like it had been smoked in. Also the hall smelled of oil most likely from the elevator. The room was clean and the staff was nice. The price was the same as comparable hotels in town, no bargain.

I stayed on the second floor in room 217 and the room had been remodeled but they left ratty fixtures and elements in the room and bathroom. The biggest issue was the gauzy window covering that didn't have a real curtain so the sun poured right in starting at 5AM, this also made it really cold in the room so I had to turn the heat on which blasted for a minute making it really hot then turned off so it was cold again. The service and room service was excellent. The location is good.

This was one of the nicest Holiday Inns that I have stayed at. Perfect location!! Walk to all the restaurants, bars, shops and the famous Saratoga Race Track when in season. Friendly and accomodating service. The rooms well appointed and very comfortable. Definitely will stay here again and will recommend it to all my friends and family.

I just love this place. The location right on Congress Park is perfect for people who want an early morning walk in a lovely setting. I often bring my dog and they are very pet-friendly. The staff is helpful and relaxed, just wanting you to have a great stay. The beds are super-comfortable! They have a lot of weddings so I had difficulty parking last time, but the staff was totally helpful and I had no problems leaving my car in a slightly unorthodox spot.

Three friends and I had a reunion at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs recently. We could not have selected a better place. Our rooms were very clean, spacious, well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast at Bookmakers, hanging out in the rear lobby, at the pool, and in the fitness room. The staff were congenial and the service was terrific! We'll probably return for another reunion.

The suite that I had stayed in was listed as suitable for 6 guests. I was quite disappointed to find that this suite actually only had room to comfortably sleep 5 people. I think it's inappropriate to suggest that 3 adults should share a king-sized bed. The other problem that I had was that our suite lacked enough pillows and blankets for 6 people. I had to request additional pillows and blankets. The blankets provided were light throw blankets. For the pull-out sofa, it was uncomfortable to sleep directly on the plastic wrapping of the mattress. Some sort of sheet or something should have been provided for the sofa bed to avoid this.

I was extremely surprised by the condition of the hotel. I read so many positive reviews and chose the Holiday Inn based on the great feedback. I found the hotel to be quite the opposite. The ceiling in our room was peeling away, it was small and crammed, we found bugs in the bathroom, the room door did not align with the door frame leaving a gap...I will be staying at another hotel should I visit Saratoga Springs in the future.

Everything about this hotel is fine, and the staff is particularly friendly and helpful, but for me, it's all about location. Everything to see and do in this beautiful and historic city is within walking distance. A room here is definitely pricey, but the location definitely makes it worth the price.
