Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Middle Of The Road Lodging This Holiday Inn was easy to find, centrally located, and had an incredibly accommodating staff. 300 North (I believe that's the restaurant's name) was equally accommodating, and their dinners are excellent. Their breakfast was a bit disappointing, but offer a nice looking Sunday brunch. The Holiday Inn itself charges too much for the accommodations, and you can go right into Newport for deals 40% less expensive at Holiday Inn's top competitors, which I'll look into next time if accessing Newport area…this is though, a great spot for the Point Judith/Narragansett Bay/University Of Rhode Island area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location, Great Staff, Excellent Restaurant The hotel staff is excellent and the location's proximity to URI can't be beat. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and well maintained despite being a little dated (renovation coming soon I believe). The restaurant/bar is outstanding. The owners are friendly and welcoming...right off the bat, they made me feel like a regular even though I was only visiting. There are many great places to eat in the area, but don't forget that one of the best places is right there in the hotel -- so when you see the owners, Greig and Tim - tell them Win said hello February 24, 2015
