Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by skthayer9 nicely appointed with a feeling of luxury...great courtyard
comfortable with good service and all the expected hotel amenities. main criticism...large facility with front and back elevators and long walkway separating two areas which is fine except there is nothing in the room to list the hotel amenities or where they are located or times of operation. no list of television stations either. guest is on his own to call the desk for information or tour the hotel looking for facilities, i.e. bar, exercise room, laundry, restaurant, etc. and spend lots of time surfing channels looking for channels.
with this exception the hotel is lovely and the staff friendly and
helpful. also excellent location.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by XRayGuy WOW, Complimentary wine for happy hour
Wow, we were welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine.....once we settled in, went went out for a mini "pub crawl". Everything on River front was within walking distance....Once we returned, the room was very quiet for us. After a peaceful night of sleeping, we were up early for more sights.
The parking garage was not tall enough for my F-250, so we had to park on street, which required meter payment from 8 am to 5 pm.
No feed back on food, as we did not dine in there......We had a great meal at Hueys.
We found this hotel to be upscale and serve our purpose at a "reasonable" price (compared to other hotels in the area.)

We stayed at The Mulberry Inn for three nights. It was our first visit to Savannah so did not know anything about where to stay. This was a perfect location and much nicer than staying in a soulless newer hotel. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the history of the hotel interesting. It was cold and wet for two days of our stay and my only negative comment would be that the pool was too cold to swim in due to the unusually cool temperatures. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

My family and I had relatives visiting us all the way from Australia. We wanted to treat them to a wonderful experince in the South and decided to spend a bit extra so we could be "where it all happens". We booked two rooms for the 6 of us. When we checked in, the rooms were not even on the same floor. We had very limited time to spend with them so we wanted to be close to eachother. When asked if they had other rooms, the responce was less than helpfull. The receptionist stated they he did not have control over how long people stay. Honestly, this is basic stuff people!!! I must say too, that we booked well in advance. There was no tea in the rooms either, only coffee and we felt the check in time was very late too 4pm. Oh well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Al10 Wonderful stay
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were attentive, courteous and very helpful. We were especially grateful to Maurice our bellman, who pointed us in the right direction numerous times, called transportation and much more. The only negative was the street noise. Don't know how to fix that without moving the hotel from it's convenient location.
