Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay! The front desk personnel were wonderful. The room was clean and quiet. Everything was in good working order . Music, wine and cheese in the lobby each evening made for a great relaxing time! I will definitely use this hotel again when I visit Savannah. March 18, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Last stay at the Mulberry Inn Beginning in 1996 I stayed at the Mulberry Inn many times while living in Georgia, my experiences were always excellent. After moving to North Carolina a few years ago my travels to Savannah were limited but I recently had an opportunity so decided to go back to the Mulberry Inn. Everything leading up to the trip appeared okay with me confirming my king suite on Wednesday via a phone conversation with the front desk personnel. I arrived on Friday after a long drive from NC, it seemed just like the Mulberry of past, that is until I arrived in my room to find it was barely large enough to hold a king bed, definitely not the suite I had been promised. After going back to the front desk and waiting a long time for a manager, he explained that they had computer problems that were placing people in different rooms than they had ordered, so essentially they had given my room away to someone else. So I was stuck with the postage stamp room. I felt slighted and continue to feel that way today. Over the weekend we noticed that there was a hue wedding at the hotel, so I am sorry but the "computer problems" story I don't buy. My room went to the wedding guest, I am sure. So Mulberry Inn, you have seen the last of me and no, I won't recommend you to my friends and family that contineu to live in Georgia and visit Savannah more often than I do. March 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect location, great staff service Clean room and great beds. breakfast better than expected. Very little street noise. Wine & beer time was perfectly timed to unwind after hours walking and exploring this great city. Staff in all departments we encountered were extremely polite and friendly, making this a nice place to come back to each night. March 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great atmosphere! When we walked in the lobby there was a piano player and complimentary wine and cheese - a very festive way to start our stay! The staff was pleasant and helpful. Great location. Our room faced Bay Street and it was very noisy throughout the night so I would recommend asking for a room not facing that street. March 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Centrally located in Savannah's historic district-park the car & walk. The hotel staff is very friendly & accommodating-room was clean & comfortable.Highly recommend. March 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed and great service Hotel staff was very friendly and accomadating however our suite location on the first floor was located on the courtyard walk which was noisy with foot traffic and courtyard occupancy. However we would definitely stay here again. March 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Experience I've stayed at many Holiday Inns throughout the country, but none provided the level of service and quality that I experienced at this location in Savannah. The staff should be commended for providing such superior service, one thing that is all too often missing from my business travels. Nicely done Savannah, I look forward to returning. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by everything was great wine and cheese and piano player were outstanding!!!! February 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Location The Mulberry is a beautiful hotel located in an excellent location within walking distance to River Street, City Market and city streets. Not a far drive to Tybee Island either. Parking lot right across street on rare occasion we needed the car. Staff was very nice and very helpful. Breakfast was good February 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What's not to like My wife and I just spent two nights at this very special hotel. It is clean, comfortable and with a convienant location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The one thing that I wife wished they had had was the afternoon tea that was mentioned in their literature. February 25, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Fair Stay I would have had a much better experience if I was able to have a non-smoking room during my stay. My reservation was made online with the request of a non-smoking room. However, when I arrived I was told that I should have called to make the reservation because there are no non-smoking rooms available and the website doesn't prioritize requests. After staying three days at the hotel all of my clothes smelled of smoke. I also didn't care for the proximity of my room to the main walkway. I often was woken out of sleep due to hallway noise. I most likely would not stay at this hotel again when I visit Savannah. I have stayed at several hotels in Savannah, and this was by far my worst experience. The only positive thing was that the hotel offered full breakfast in the morning. February 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Getaway weekend We were able to check in 2 hours early. Our room was well appointed with a nice balcony overlooking the pool and fountain. The soundproofing was very nice from 3 viewpoints: outside street noise, neighbors in adjoining rooms and the bathroom from the bedroom/sitting area. Linens were quality materials. This property is well located and within walking distance of either the waterfront or the square. We would stay here again. February 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely and convenient we loved this hotel and are very sorry that it will no longer be in the Holiay Inn family after August. The roomsonEast Bay were a bit noisy, however. February 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Business Stay at the Mulberry The only comment I would make is that when you check in and you are on the portion of the second floor that you have to climb steps to that the front desk let you know. I was very surprised when I found this out. February 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location We had stayed at the Mulberry before and looked forward to another night in a lovely old hotel with the ambience of luxury. We were greeted by one of the friendly, knowledgeable staff who gave us a map to Bonaventure Cemetery and the Noble Jones historic area. Enjoyed the free wine and cheese hour in the bar. Unfortunately, the heating/ac unit in our room was malfunctioning and couldn't be fixed easily, but for our inconvenience, we were given a complimentary breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the room clean and attractive (although we're not so keen on the bath arrangement--toilet and shower/tub in one room; sink and mirror open to the room). Breakfast was disappointing as no hot dishes were available. Otherwise, the location is great and the hotel is beautiful. But beware: a day later we noticed a $30 additional charge incorrectly added to our bill; a similar charge also added to the bill of our traveling companions. A couple of inconvenient phone calls later and the problem was solved. But so not necessary. February 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great property The property and staff were amazing. They made our stay in Savannah fun and relaxing. The location is great for walking anywhere in the downtown district. February 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Return to this hotel anytime ! This is a classic hotel, the best in Savannah in my opinion. January 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Company Travel I would not recommend this hotel. The front desk put us right at Bay Street. It was noisy and busy all night long. I was traveling with my company, they wouldn't honor the fact that I should not be held responsible for the 30/night incidental fee or the 12/day parking fee. None of this was explained during the reservation process. They actually did not care about me being there in their fair city for business. I guess I didn't look the part!!!! Never again. I have explained it to my counterparts who traveling as often as I do to not come here. January 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious, comfortable suites This is probably the best hotel I've been to so far. The room was expensive but comparable in price to similar rooms in other hotels in the area. It's located on the busiest street in Savannah but the walls and windows are completely soundproof. The full breakfast was suprisingly delicious and the evening social with free music, wine, and cheese was a great way to start the night. As a bonus, Priority Club membership got me free breakfast and parking. The only thing I didn't care for is how a hotel employee walked into my room about an hour after I checked in just to ask me if I had everything I needed. Some may appreciate the extra step in hospitality but most guests don't want to be botherered as soon as they arrive. January 25, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noise A few of my friends and I decided to plan a couples weekend getaway. We decided on your hotel due to the reviews. My husband, myself and another couple decided to share a room. We were assigned room 261. It was a nice size room. No complaints on appearances. We went out around Savannah and came back to rest. Eventhough we were there for only one night, the room was the worst to be in to actually rest. The room is right on the corner off the main road. It was so loud with cars going by non stop. People stopping at the corner and having conversations. The room should have been sound proof better for your guest. I don't think I will ever go back there due to the experience. January 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Southern Comfort Comfort, style, charm. location and a fabulous, professional, friendly, helpful staff who go beyond the "requirements" to ensure a great experience. January 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cannot say enough about The Mulberry My husband and I had fallen in love with Savannah during this past summer. We wanted to visit again when the weather was a little cooler. We decided to celebrate with a trip on New Year's Day. This was in the perfect location on Bay Street within walking distance to everything in the historic district. We got to know the city on another level and fell in love with it even more. We highly recommend The Mulberry for its outstanding staff who were extremely helpful on every level and for the reasonable rates. We will definitely be staying here again. January 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loved the afternoon piano and wine/cheese would love to stay again, do you have discounts? it is a great location, beautiful older hotel, lovely outdoor gardens January 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Introduction to Savannah We've never been to Savannah before, but we'll be back and will surely stay at the Mulberry Inn. Service was so gracious. We were warmly greeted and kindly treated. Location was fantastic ... and after a day of walking and exploring, the beds were the most comfy ever experienced. We loved it all the way around! Thanks for a great time!! January 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Star Treatment!! We stayed at the Mulberry Inn for a 1 night stay while we toured the amazing historic district. Besides having a truely great location the staff and service was outstanding! Any questions we had they were always answered, the front desk even booked our carriage tour for us on a very short notice. We can't wait for our next visit!! Thanks again and see you soon!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel My husband and I have traveled extensively, and the Mulberry is the best hotel experience we've ever had. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable - everything you would hope to find. Professional, helpful staff - and a great location in lovely Savannah. Highly recommend! January 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MY STAY LOCATION WAS GREAT,EASY PARKING WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO MOST ATTRACTIONS.I WILL RETURN! January 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Very pet friendly! We stayed for two nights during New Year's weekend. We brought our two dogs with us. We had an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and happy to have our dogs as guests. The room was in the first floor were all guests with pets are accommodated. Great idea to have this pet friendly area because everybody around is a dog lover and you do not have the feeling that your pets are disturbing other guests. Amazing location, in the middle of the Historic District. A very nice park across the street to walk your dogs and nice restaurants within a short walk. Impeccable room, with plenty of space. Nice fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Nicely decorated and in mint condition. On New Year's Eve complimentary vine and cheese were served at the lobby while a very talented gentleman was playing the piano. Overall a very pleasant experience and reasonably priced. If you are visiting Savannah with your dog this is the place to stay. January 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff exceptional, excellent location We really enjoyed our New Year's Eve weekend in Savannah. We throughly enjoyed this property. Walking distance to tours, great restaurants and the river street district. Convenient parking lot access and the staff were friendly and courteous. Dogs are welcomed at his hotel and there were a lot, but we did not hear barking or smell any foul odor. Very good value for the money. We will be back. January 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Wonderful Trip to Savannah!! This was our first trip to Savannah and it most definitely will not be our last!! We hit a small glich when we arrived and they did not have our king room, but the manager was so gracious and gave us a generous discount to accept a double for the first night, then moved us to a beautiful king room for the remainder of our stay. The beds are out of this world!! Best mattresses I have EVER slept on in a hotel!! The staff are so knowlegeable and friendly and go above and beyond for their guests, something NOT the standard now days. The buffet breakfast was delicious, convenient and reasonable (we opted for the slightly more expensive breakfast included rate), we also ate a late night snack in the bar and it was yummy (best hot wings ever!). The location was so convenient, walking distance to the historic district and all the hot spots in downtown Savannah. It's right beside The historic Pirates House restaurant which ended up being our favorite. We are already thinking about our next trip to Savannah and we will most certainly stay at The Mulberry!!
