Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Loved this hotel.
When we stayed they were in the process of finishing up the construction of the main lobby area as well as the bar area. Even with that going on everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable. We stayed on the second floor facing the pool area which was also very nice. It was very quiet there as well. You are within walking distance of the river walk and other historical areas. We parked the car there and only got back in it when we left. Felt safe in the area at all times. Will definitely stay here again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Rennovations Weren't the Issue
NOISE: The walls are PAPER thin. We heard every single person throughout the night coming and going down the hallway. I could hear word-for-word what they were talking about. I could hear their suitcases rolling down the hallway, that's how bad it was. To make matters worse, we were placed in Room 324, right next to the ice machine. We were woken up 3-4 times both nights by people getting ice at midnight, 2am, 4am, etc. It was ridiculous.
SERVICE: To make matters worse, each morning the cleaning crew would yell down the hallways to one another. There were two ladies on our floor who were having a loud conversation, starting at 7am, down the hallway. At one point, the conversation started including profanity right outside our door. I think for any hotel, this is unacceptable. What if we had children with us??
CLEANLINESS: There were a couple stray hairs in the bed when we first arrived. Kind of gross. The rooms are really not very attractive, especially given that we were in an "updated" room. The renovations were apparently complete for this room, but it looks like they did a pretty sloppy job. The grout in the bathroom was a mess and the carpet in the bedroom was literally nailed into the walls at the bottom. You can see the exposed nails.
FRONT DESK: I reported these problems at check-out to the front desk. They said they could only take $30 off of our bill - I guess it's better than nothing, but honestly? All we wanted to do was sleep here during our trip to Savannah, that's it, and we couldn't even do that. They did NOT make me want to stay here again, in fact, they said that if I had reported the problems the first night then they would have moved us from the room with the ice machine next door. I don't think that would've made matter much better.

Staff was excellent! The only complaint was that there was a 'domestic dispute' at 2:30 AM with door slamming and a female yelling in the hallway. It only lasted a couple of minutes. If it was longer, I would have notified the desk. This of course was no fault of the hotel.
I would stay here again for sure and just hope the night stays quiet.
Great location as you can park your car and walk everywhere. We splurged and used the valet for parking as we did not want our car on the street.
