I enjoyed my stay at the Savannah Holiday Inn. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family. The price was reasonable .

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Conny53 good service, friendly staff except one
Upon arrival we had a bad experience with the front desk clerk she was very rude as if she does not want to be bothered. Granted we arrived early but at least be professional about it. We arrived Saturday 10/18/14 at 12:30 as a gold member we should have been able to check in but got turned away in the worst possible way,we were not allowed to park until check-in in time and had to leave the premises. I understand if rooms are not ready but at least let us park the car since we paid an extra 18 dollars per day for parking and it is difficult to find parking in Savannah historic district anyway.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by laurenb23 Better than a drive up motel, but worst IHG experience to date
I travel quite a bit. By quite a bit, I mean I'm gone usually 6-10 days out of every month. The rooms were lacking thresholds under the doors, leaving large gaps under every door creating a lot of noise. The AC sounded like you were in a rock concert mosh pit with constant clapping in your ears, and the staff was "eh." They weren't rude at all, but they certainly weren't friendly-with the exception of the valet staff-they were great. The beds were hard...very hard. The hotel was very clean as was our room. Although, we did not have a DND sign in our room, and considering the amount of electronics I could not hide in a safe, made me very uneasy. Yes, I'm sure I could've asked the front desk to put me on the DND list, but isn't the point of the hanger for the convenience? If you've ever been to Savannah, then you know one side of the street can be safe, and the other an invitation to beggers. This hotel is on the invitation side. I was harassed everytime I walked in and out of the hotel. I've stayed across the street and felt much more comfortable, actually been more comfortable, and had a much more enjoyable stay for $10 more a night. This hotel is quite overpriced considering. All in all, I'd stay there if nothing else was available, but it is bottom of the list above roach motels. IHG usually has a higher standard than this.
