Great hotel for short stay in and near Savannah Historic District. Walking distance to most all venues in Savannah. Pricey breakfast and lunch but nearby restaurants offer more variety and affordable pricing.

I was here for 4 nights but seriously considered changing hotels. Being a Platinum member, I chose this hotel anticipating a concierge lounge or, at least, free breakfast. There was no concierge lounge. At check-in I was told that because I was using Reward Nights that I would not receive free breakfast. Also, I was not recognized as a Rewards Member, much less a Platinum rewards member. I was given the wrong access code for the wifi. I ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant 1 time. There was 1 other couple there and 2 waitresses, however the service was terrible. The food was quite mediocre. While in the lounge one evening, I ordered food, only to find out that the bartender was also the cook. The concierge was terribly uninformed. Savannah is known for it's ghost tours, yet the concierge knew nothing about them and couldn't offer a suggestion for which of the 38 tour companies we should try. She did, however, advise us not to explore to the west of the hotel because it was not a good neighborhood. My bathroom door had a smear of something on the inside of it that looked quite nasty. I cleaned it with a wet-wipe. This hotel is supposed to be a full service Holiday Inn and if this was indicative of the chain, I would stay more often at some of the competition's hotels.
The ONLY plus to my stay was the bartender Lonnie who was very friendly, helpful and did a great job. Also the valet parking staff was very good.
