Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent facilities and great service #Hardware are brand-new, clean and modern. #Toilet shower system is well equipmented, shower head with adjustable pressure. #Bed mattress is comfortable. #Short distrance between the hotel and Shanghai New International Expo Center. Since this hotel is not near to the subway , their management team have figured out many ways to solve the transportation problem. They will give you the Taxi ticket, so you may enjoy the breakfast without lining up outside the taxi stand. Once the taxi come, they will remind you in the restaurant . I am very appreciate one of their Customer Relationship Manager- Miss Ni (倪小姐), she is very passionate to introduce the Hotel service, room condition, food and Beverage, she is also very familiar with their company customer loyalty program. As I am the gold member of their group, she proactively to offer the free Wifi, welcome drink and complimentry Fruit & Cookie. A very wonderful stay with reasonable price. November 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff but smoky room Overall, it is a good hotel. Friendly staff, good bed, good breakfast. We request for a non-smoking room but was given a room with cigarette smell. Some guests might have smoked in the room even though it is a non smoking floor. It lingers in the room for the whole stay. I have asked for a change of room but it was full. The front desk lady is professional and suggest for a clean up. Unfortunately after the clean up the cigarette smell is still very strong. Besides this, the hotel is overall a good hotel. November 17, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great People and Service The customer service in this hotel is by far above most Holiday Inn's Globally. This hotel is more like a 5 star Crowne Plaza. It's also consistently good. I stay heve every 3 months or so and it always very good. The staff in the Executive Lounge during happy hour on the 25 floor are always very friendly and eager to please. Say hello to Angel & Sunny. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 舒适,体现服务水平的一晚 入住酒店,前台服务人员让人感觉很轻松,态度比较和善, 客房设施比较完善,卫生状况良好,客房面朝绿地这一边,非常安静,视野也比较开阔。电视频道略少了些。不过没有大碍。 酒店的游泳池还是不错的,服务人员比较热情的给了指引。 早餐的品种确实要比HIX的丰富不少,不过有一部分热的品种,没有足够的温度,一部分热一部分略冷,当然这个小的细节,饮料的品种尚可。 总的来说,这一次的入住,还是比较舒适的周末入住体验。 September 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel for Exhibition I found this property quite close to the new exhibition center where I had to attend for 4 days. The taxi ride is less than 14 minutes which is amazing. Normally I would book somewhere further north with 20-35 minutes taxi ride. Rooms were new and clean. View of the park was relaxing. Also loved the pool and the fitness. I would recommend this property to others next time. The staffs gave me a gold member in room amenities, very nice. September 8, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Jinxiu Family stayed here for a weekend retreat / mini holiday. It is a newer hotel, more training is needed for some staff. Sherry at the front desk is great. The breakfast spread is high quality (nice made to order noodle soup and Doufuhua). The mall next to the hotel has a nice selection of regional Chinese and Asian food. Also there is a video game arcade and bowling alley nearby. Good value. We would come back again. August 28, 2013

A shopping centre within walking distance and there is a bus that links you to the Metro. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Hotel in Shanghai for the money I have stayed in numerous properties in Shanghai over the last 20 years. This is my second time to stay in the Holiday Inn JinXiu hotel. One of the best and most friendly hotel staffs in the world. Excellent rooms and a great breakfast. When I come back to Shanghai, this is where I will stay and recommend it to my company to book everytime visitors arrive. I want to mention several key staff personnel to give them individual praise but every staff member was great to work with the 18 days I was in the hotel. First at Breakfast. Serena who quickly learned my name and was ready for bing ( ice ) for my 64 oz insulated Texas Mug. Also Beaky in the Executive Breakfast Lounge was perfect with the timing for serving me. Finally, Link was the best at making my eggs each morning. Within a few days, he knew exactly how to make my eggs perfectly and warm up the bacon on the grill for me. Breakfast was a great experience but even better with these two wonderful ladies and an excellent short order cook each morning. Finally, Sunny was just an excellent host in the Executive Lounge on the 25th floor. She was always attentive to the needs of my customer or co-worker who joined me for drinks / snacks. All of the staff on the 25th floor was great but Sunny just helped end the day on a very happy and positive note. This Holiday Inn JinXiu is just a great hotel for the price in Shanghai. If they could only put in a McDonalds within walking distance ( only a 15 min $4 taxi ride ! ) it would be perfect. The KFC and Papa John’s Pizza are close enough to enjoy however along with a half dozen great Chinese / Asian restaurants all within walking distance. July 13, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, with a couple caveats Hotel is excellent in most respects. Two glaring exceptions are the internet service, and a cold, non-operating jacuzzi. My internet connection was always very slow, and my connection kept dropping. This was true for both the wifi and the wired connection in my room. I spent time on the phone with IT staff trying to troubleshoot the problem, but the problem was never resolved. To make matters worse, I was charged exorbitant fees for every minute I was online. The cold jacuzzi is just weird. It doesn't seem to be a problem of a broken heater or pumps, but a conscious decision to not heat the pool or turn on the jets. I've called the attention of hotel staff the issue on two separate stays, and the response was "Yes, we always keep it at this cool temperature." When I pointed out that jacuzzi's are supposed to be hot, I just got shrugs that indicated to me that the staff either didn't know what I was talking about, or they didn't have permission to turn up the heat or turn on the jets. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed As a priority club member I am always looking for a good deal at the IHG hotels. Usually, I am not disappointed! But my stay at your hotel made me regret my visit to Shanghai. It seems to me that it would be simple enough to put maintenance and repair information on the internet or send an e mail to the guest prior to their visit. I came to Shanghai for a relaxing weekend, fully expecting to enjoy the swimming pool, but alas it was under repair. The smell in the hall ways was so sickening. Fortunately the room was clean, comfortable, and odor free. The food in the Western Restaurant was just so so, at best. Perhaps it was an off day but, it really leaves a bitter taste (pun intended) in your mouth. I have grown to expect better from Holiday Inn. When I complained the response was a half-hearted "sorry."
