The hotel expirience was great and enjoyed the stay very much, grateful to duty manager on 27th march 2013 night, who prepared food for me that night, beyond hotels kitchen opening hours. Would request the hotel management to look into round the clock service to guest for some particular simple snacks or meals in room or 24x7 coffee shop.
Was a little uncomfortable with staff chatting, giggling behind your back soon you leave the front desk or concierge.... It gives a feeling that something certainly not right either with yourself or hotel team, making the stay expirience little uncomfortable. The above is just an observation.

During my stay from 31/01/2013 to 02/02/2013, i have meet up with very good service staff : Mr Benson , Ms Valentino , Ms Cythia.
The location is good and convenience for me , fresh air near Shanghai Pudong Airport.
Away from main town so also no traffic jam.
The Happy Hour in Club Floor up to 10pm daily , for others Holiday Inn only up to 8pm.

My husband and I only stayed here one night but we were very impressed. The staff was extremely helpful with translating and transcribing for cab drivers and helped us make reservations for dinner by phone in Chinese. We were a bit stressed by the language barrier in Shanghai while trying to get around, but we felt very safe and comfortable at the hotel.

As the title indicated, it is the worst front desk service I ever experienced; no greeting, not polite, I have to ask for every single thing, including: where is breakfast, what is wifi password, where is the elevator even for the invoice when I check out the hotel. The way this lady serve is like I am asking a favor from her. Unbelievable.

This is the 2nd time I stay in Kangqiao Holiday Inn.
Last year, when I was in there, the hotel just opened not long ago, so everything is new and flash. It was suprised to see that just one year late the hotel room is not as clean as I had in the 1st time. I even experienced smoking smell when I stayed in the NON smoking room. The hotel staff told me that some guests didn't follow the rule! how said!
Nice thing is when I report to the hotel, they checked the room next day and did some clean up efforts.
due to visiting of my parents (they've lived assistant living place near by this hotel). I booked this hotel again and stay in 2 weeks this year. The executive floor staffs are very helpful. The food is OK. The Chinese food on 3rd floor is very good. the breakfast in the executive lodge is not good but staffs in there tried very hard help me to get a few food that I usually eat in the States.
the front disk people need more trainning. this hotel has lots of meeting going on so be careful if your stay in there while the meeting is on.
Compare with the Holiday Inn here, the Kangqiao Holiday Inn is excellent in the facilities and room space. The price is resonable but the staff and service needs be approve.

I was a little concerned by the reviews, but decided to give the hotel a try anyway. Book room on line and when I check in I was already upgraded. Staff escourted us to our room and on the way told us about the hotel. Swimming pool was great. tempature was just right. Enjoyed a meal there service was good as was the food. Impressed with the Duty Manager, He greated me by name and was very helpful securing a taxi for the airport. Deffinatly stay there again when I am in Shanghai.
