Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great stay I moved to Shanghai for work and stayed at Holiday Inn Kang Qiao for 18 days while waiting to move into an apartment Hotel: it's new, clean (very important) and rooms are large, comfortable with modern style Staff: mainly locals, always nice and kind. A very special thank to Valentina, an Italian girl who works there as Front Office Manager, who helped and supported me a lot with my needs and answered all of my questions and curiosity about the city and the Chinese lifestyle. Restaurant: it offers a wide variety of food, both Asian and international and, most important, both are great. Breakfast is also very good and various. Relaxing facilities: a modern gym and an amazing swimming pool with glass floor are available. Location: approx. 30' min drive from the city center the hotel surroundings are nice and clean. There are shops of any kind, restaurants, laundries, bakeries and bars where is easy to meet new people. Conclusions: I had a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel for those who are looking for an accommodation in Pudong, Shanghai. April 19, 2014

You get the efficiency you want and the very good service comes with a smile. Very convenient is the laundry service, both for people who stay longer and the ones that need to pack a small suitcase. Never crowded in the special, roomy pool with a view. The second floor restaurant is top quality. The tea is made using water from the bottle, the capuchino is realy Italian. I love it. There was puke on the hotel elevator and no Manager on Duty present. Not sure if they cleaned it. When I left, the bellman gave a wrong address to the taxi. March 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by If you use IHG points, think twice As a Platinum member, not only I didn't get any room upgrade or welcome gift but also forced to get a lecture from the Duty Manager on IHG policies about reward nights. He printed out pages of documents around 1a.m. local time to tell me he just can't offer any upgrade. I appreciate his efforts but after 13 hours long flight, a more friendly approach would be better. Did get an apology at the end of my stay- from a different Manger. FYI, after Shanghai, I checked in HI, HI Express and CP in Shen Zhen and Shen Yang with my points, all provided Platinum upgrades, access to Executive Lounge, free breakfast, welcome gift and drinks, etc. Wow, restored my faith in IHG. Do not try to call Duty Manager from your room. Was told no one would pick that phone up due to its location (LOL). WIFI was bad and was told to get close to the room door to get signals after their failed attempts to charge me extra. Glad that I know free internet for members. Good facility and location. The entrance is very spacious, very clean and well laid out. My room was contemporary in terms of decoration and facilities offered, and also very spacious. The staff are courteous and speak good English. The breakfast buffet is an excellent start to the day! In short, I would recommend to business colleagues and friends. March 25, 2014

Thanks for executive lounge service, although the quality of food and fruit need to be improved. Thanks for free fruit, and it will be better if fruit knift could be provided. Thanks for front desk to extend my room reservation of Feb18, so I need't check out in 18th then check in again in next day, and it would be appreciated if I were announced before, rather than when I came to frount dest for check out, then told me that room could be reserved. This would save my lot of time for packing luggage. Anyway, I will chose this hotel again, and hope the service quality woud be better and better. March 2, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor air conditioning system in executive suite I spent two nights in this hotel with my family to experience its wonderful swimming pool though we stay in the same city. The swimming pool is nice. But the stay experience was bad. As a platinum member, I am entitled to a room upgrade. I booked executive room, but when I checked in the receptionist only gave me a very small room and told me it was already an upgrade, they called it mini-suite. And during check in, they also told me because of rennovation so I cannot enjoy the executive lounge. But when I made the reservation and booked executive room, nobody told me at that time and I still need to pay executive room money but cannot enjoy the benefit I deserve. Later, they gave me a bigger room which is a real executive suite after I insisted. But in evening we found out the air conditioning system in that room (2108) didn't work properly, the room gets extremely hot and my wife get sick because of that. In the next day, we reported this issue to the hotel and they sent a maintenance guy to this room, this guy told us the hotel shut down the cooling system to save cost and it was not the first time the guests report similar issues. I cannot believe the hotel management can make such kind decision and gave its platinum member a room with bad air conditioning system. Later, we had to change to another room at the other side (1819). Very bad sleep and stay experience. The cafe in the 1st floor also under rennovation and the hotel opened a hall to accommodate breakfast. The air conditioning in the hall is not enough thus we felt cool when we had breakfast on the 1st day. There was an event/meeting with a big group of people during that weekend. So on the 2nd day, the breakfast place was very crowded and there was no enough food or plate to serve. Service was very bad. We just ate very little then left because too many people and little food. January 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 干净,整洁,游泳池很漂亮! 周末2点到达,ci花了几分钟,免费升级到行政房,有行政待遇。两个人入住,欢迎饮料只给一张,其他酒店是按人数给的,询问后,前台说因为只有一个人是会员,所以只能送一张。一张只能换一听2元钱的可乐,其实不是在乎那一点,只是为了一个心情愉快,行政酒廊里随便喝。 酒店很新,到处都干净,走廊的地毯很漂亮。房间30多平方,干净整洁,有一个小沙发,看着比较温馨。房间是靠着别墅区的一面,白天可以晒太阳,晚上很安静,夜景也不错。电视的音响效果挺好,其他就和一般的假日酒店没有什么区别了。有浴缸但和淋浴是一体的,这家酒店的淋浴压力大,用起来很舒服。行政酒廊的服务不错,下午有小饼干,饮料。晚上有些小吃和青岛啤酒,味道一般。酒店早餐在一楼,有专门给行政层划分出来很大一片靠窗的位置,位置多,人很少。早餐中等,品种不是很多,但酒店的咖啡豆是自己现场烘焙的,味道偏苦。 来这家的主要目的是因为酒店在24层有一个泳池,顶端可以从24层的泳池看到地面。泳池几乎没有人,住的两天游的很愉快,更衣室里有桑拿和湿蒸,但更衣室里没有毛巾,不方便。 准备退房的时候,在走廊遇见楼层清洁服务员,主动问我们是不是退房,还对我老公说,先生,谢谢,慢走。国内很少遇到这么好的服务员,表扬一下。我们也要谢谢你们的服务! 总的来说下次还想去住。 December 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent I always stay at this hotel for 1 night when I arrive or depart from Pudong airport. The hotel is new and the rooms have that new clean look. Bed is comfortable with plush pillows. Free internet and breakfast because I am a platinum member. If available I get an upgrade to the suite. The gym is Ok and it has a great pool for laps (Not many people using either in the morning). There is a coffee shop next door that has good lattes. There is a place across the street that sells good wine at an Ok price. Watsons (similar to Walgreens) and a small shopping mall are a 3 minute walk away. Room service food is ok. Only takes 40 minutes to get to Pudong airport with good traffic conditions. There are enough people on the staff that speak good English. December 8, 2013

All staff were very cordial and helpful. The only drawback was the lengthy time for checking in and out. The lines were long and we had to get another bus to pick us up for a workshop. The hotel bar, D7, never had any people in it the three nights I was there, so to socialize you must walk about a block to the local taverns. December 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 位置太偏,泳池很漂亮 地理位置太偏,到市区很不方便,酒店很漂亮,游泳池让人惊艳。 到店时房间还没有准备好,入住期间房卡两次消磁,早餐时注意到餐厅工作人员包括厨师卫生意识不是很好,这点让我很不舒服,酒廊不能办理退房,但是酒廊MM态度都很亲切,让人倍感温馨,在这里要赞下,瓦伦蒂娜中文很棒。 这里还想再提一下,酒店给的行政待遇近乎抠门,洗衣补贴50,甚至连冰箱内软饮都不能免费享用,以酒店的价位来说并不合理 December 5, 2013

Then I talked with the girl in the executive club, at begining she asked me to talk with customer center (big cycle). The furniture setting in our room was excellent, providing space to open and spread our luggage. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel provided free shuttle service to Long yang Road metro station which was very convenient. October 1, 2013
