We stay at a lot of hotels. This was for a family reunion. The staff was great. The accommodations were good too. We had a problem with our first room and they moved us to another room quickly. My only critique is the closets were very small. I also wish they had a free continental breakfast like a lot of hotel chains. But they do have a breakfast buffet that you can pay for. It's a REAL breakfast buffet with waffles, eggs, grits, bacon/sausage, potatoes, etc.
Overall, for the price, it was great.

At checkin, staff was nice and friendly. Received a lounge credit to allow for relaxation because pool was closed. However, I asked if I could be put in the better room, and so began the downhill ride. After getting to room, realized we had no trash cans. Called, got only 1. Still settling in, no ice bucket. I informed front desk that they seemed to have put us in a room that was not in service, ironically, the worse room.Said they would let someone know. Ice bucket came, nothing else. Thought they would at least offer to change room-no! Parking inightmare, scary elevator, much too noisy, could see inside toilet tank, wrong lid. I decided I needed a receipt. Good I asked. I had a charge showing for an incorrect nights charge. Clerk could not explain why but told me to call my bank on Monday to stop charge. WHAT? Lounge was great, bar tenderess was friendly, created a good vibe. Thank goodness for that. No, will not stay again. Oh, construction signs still up way after online advisory that it was completed.

The front desk check in was courteous and helpful. Check in time was very quick. All in all I was in my room in less than ten minutes. The room was very clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Every single hotel staff I encountered was cheerful and helpful. Enjoyed my experience enough to extend my stay.

This property needs a lot of work. When I checked in, I was given a room where the Internet did not work. As a business traveler this is a critical component for my stay. Had to switch rooms but when I went to the new room is was not a King, lost the refrig and oh yeh the TV was non functional. Maintenance guy came and could not fix it. He was a great guy. He took care of my second room change and got the other room ready and made sure everything was functional.
So upon checking out, I noticed that they used my CC associated with my Priority Club card (Personal Card) not the business card I used to make the reservation which is the same one I presented upon checking in. The manager that worked with me was nice enough to reverse the charge on my personal card (will take 3 days to post) and check my business card. She did provide a discount for all of the troubles that I incurred while there.
Bottomline, I think when I go back I will stay at one of the Holiday Inn Expresses near by. I do not recommend this property.

The staff was great! However, the room would not get cool enough (stayed at 74 even though we set it at 70), and the carpet was gross. The sheets were scratchy, but the pillows were fantastic.
