Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sash09 NICE STAY
I stay in this hotel for all my Singapore visits as prices in Singapore are realy high now and this hotel is still OK.
Not centerly located but just 3 minutes by Taxi to every place.
Hotel is good, not on the high level and it is starting to show the age....
Had the late check out without any problem but not a real room upgrade as I had a friend with me which received the same room as I.
A good stay at a nice hotel.

Housekeeping not professional. She rang my bell asked for cleaning up of the room while I still in. I've never had this kind of experience that I feel uncomfortable. No response to my request for an additional laundry bag.
Laundry service is A+ to my stay.

The only review that I can give is as a PriorityClub Member is that if the daily newspaper is promised as part of your package item, it should be fulfilled. The customer/guest should not enquire on package item if it is not there.

When staying in Singapore this is the place to be. Nothing is to much trouble with all staff contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happycampers Great location, great value and great service.
The hotel is impeccably presented and the staff are very attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The pillow menu is a an added bonus. The breakfast buffet is both extensive and delicious. The pool and gym are well maintained and of an excellent standard. We will certainly stay at the Holiday Inn Atrium on our next visit to Singapore. It was everything that we expected and more!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hadiBrisbane Great 2 nights transit at the Holiday Inn Atrium.
Well presented lobby along with friendly and capable staff. King room was very comfy, decent-sized for the price. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Gym and pool were very guest-friendly and inviting. The only drawback was lack of mall/ attraction within walking distance from the hotel. Apart from that, would recommend to friends. Well done HI Atrium! :)

Checkin was very easy - hotel staff were expecting us as we arrived. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was included, and while it was very busy due to the holiday period, the food was always tasty and warm. Hotel is in a good location with easy access to most destinations in Singapore. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Evie87 Awesome room
I had a room with a great view on the 17th floor.
The room was also tastefully furnished, utilizing the limited space. Very comfortable and relaxing. The toiletries were more than sufficient.
I had a dinner that had 1-for-1 discount, which was awesome.
The swimming pool area had an nicely designed towel counter, together with nice sun-deck chairs.
I enjoyed my stay, and recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the busy life!

As a Platinum member, I stay at IHG hotels about 100+ nights a year. I had booked this hotel online and selected the regular room that included breakfast. I had requested a room on a higher floor. When checking I hoped to be upgraded to a club level room, that didn't happen but no worries; however I did not get a room on a higher floor as requested which is quite disappointing considering my status and loyalty to the brand. Staff at the check-in were friendly and attentive. Yet, on the last day I requested a late check-out and had my key cards re-keyed, but they failed to work when returning the property that afternoon.... small details. The service at the bar, late in the evening was horrendous; 15 minute wait to get a drink; the wrong food order being brought out, followed by another wrong order the second time; horribly understaffed (one bartender and one waitress). Ruined our evening, as we had been out all day shopping and sightseeing and decided to enjoy a few drinks and some eats at the hotel since it was late. Room was appointed nicely with ample nice amenities. WiFi was fast and flawless. Breakfast buffet was quite large and adequate, truly a multi-national buffet offerings.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okiksaints Rooms not Ready
I requested to be hosted at the same floor. We arrived before noon and were told that the rooms were not yer ready and were asked to come back at 2 pm. We were finally given the rooms at 4:30 pm. Nobody seems to be able to explain why.
For 3 rooms at 6 nights or 18 nights equivalent, I was only credited points for 6 nights. I was told that overlapping nights are creditable only one night. Really.... would you care to share the reason for this (it's in the fine print - is not a reason). Or is this a ploy to encourage me to book the other nights elsewhere.
No personal touch in any of the staff we met or talked to, except Amy of housekeeping. They were all business - no one greets "Good morning/evening, Happy New Year, etc.

It was lovely to return to the friendly, efficient and quality standards of Holiday Inn - this time The Atrium in Singapore. Although only a short stay I was able to relax in the knowledge my arrangements were "in hand" and to feel comfortable in my room.
Keep up the good work, Holiday Inn!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sutton Very conveniently located
It runs shuttle bus to Orchard road and Clarke Quay MRT station once an hour. There are many bus stops around the hotel . Also the Tiong Bahru MRT station is closed to the hotel. There are 2 local food centres within walking distances. One is Tiong Bahru Food Centre, the other is Zion Food Centre. You can taste excellent local food there, though without air conditioning.
There is no free wi-fi inside the room. But you can us free wi fi in the lobby and business centres, a bit inconvenient but still acceptable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jasonc good hotel but some issues with air ventilation
A very good hotel - stayed here 3 time sbefore. Our recent stay in Dec 2012 was good overall - staff very good (better than before); the room is very spacious by Singapore standard and comfortable. Only one sticking issue, if the aircon is turned off the air vent lets in bad air from elsewhere in the hotel. The smell was quite bad when we returned to the hotel after a day out and housekeeping (responded very quickly) brought an air condensing machine and it worked after a while. It was a little disconcerting though as we werent sure if it was bad gas or something unsavoury. Anyway, a good hotel overall - Great World City is nearby and offers some shopping; whilst Tiong Bharu food court is also only a stone's throw away for very tasty and cheap hawker food! Highly recommended.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GCFA Extraordinary Experience
This was my 3rd stay at Holiday Inn Atrium and it gives me the pleasure of always coming back to rest & relax. However, during my last stay (24-28 Dec), it has been quite a surprise.
When I checked in into my room, I was not acknowledge as a Priority Club Member.
Concierge/Bell Desk - it took 40 mins before my luggage was sent up to the room. I had to call the reception 3-4 times for a follow up.
When I came into my room, the entrance lights are not working. Th engineering staff had to come up and rectify the problem and another 15more mins of waiting.
On the bed, brochures about the hotel was placed and a feedback/comment form. I was surprised to see the feedback form has already been answered by a Japanese guest who stayed in the previous room. Though feedback forms should be blank for every incoming guests of the hotel for the day? I handed it over to the engineering staff who fixed the lights in my room.
My package includes free use of the internet, however, the wifi connection in the room is not working properly so I had to use the broadband cable instead.
On the 25th Dec, when we had our breakfast, we were directed to a function room. Seating arrangements was in chaos and in total out of control. There's not enough staff to clear the tables for the next incoming guests, we had to clear it on our own so as to give us some room for dining, and no one has come up to our table to offer coffee/tea.
On the check out dayt, we were still asleep, and at 930am, housekeeping knocked on the door and entered the room and wanted to make up the room. I thought, make up room is done in the afternoon if the room is still occupied? That is too early.
On our last night, we tried to dip into the pool. The lady assigned by the pool area didn't acknowledge us when we ask if we could get some towels. She TOTALLY ignored us and continue with her job cleaning the floor. There was no acknowledgement, eye contact or whatsoever. She totally ignore us and seems like there's no guest in front of her. All in all, it was still an average stay for me this time. I still don't mind coming back, as a loyal guest and club member.
Looking forward to see you all again sometime!
Best Regards!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Samiinmelb Great staff and sevice
Stayed here with family for one week in Nov 2012. Friendly staff and happy to help everytime we needed something. Friendly withe kids. Staff always kept both my boys busy when in the lobby.
Was given room on 18 floor so had a nice view, and it was a good size room as per SIN hotels. Buffet breakfast had good selection.
Was given complementaly surprise cake and telephone call on my son's birthday,
that was really sweet...
nice pool area and the coin laundry service was an additional bonus.
Location bit off the main touristy things, but taxi's are cheap in SIN so has no problem getting around.
Over all good for relaxing and value for money

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WKCC The service is slight below the standard of other Holiday Inns
Other than a drink coupon, I did not receive any other benefits as a platinum member. The room that I got is by no means a deluxe room. It was just an ordinary double room. I stayed in the same hotel several times, and I have to say that the service has declined compared to my previous stays.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SoftwareMaker Great Food, more than I can handle
They serve buffet breakfast and dinner every night. This trip I avoided most of the dinners as I can not handle the calories that late and lack the self control.
I instead had great room service or just ate at the free buffet for premium members.
I ate the breakfast each day. If you like world cuisine it is especially great. Or they make you omelets and have a range of every type of food and fruit.
They also make amazing coffees. Real cappuccino.
The room is very comfortable, bed is great, easy to sleep. 4 great pillows to choose from, not a crazy stack like some hotels. And the pillow you choose are what they leave on the bed. Great view.
Staff had trouble on phone regarding room service and laundry. I suggest they provide some language lessons on common words used and how to pronounce the foods on their menu (nicoise and salmon).
Warning about this city: Taxis are hard to get in the AM and worst in the afternoon. Plan around this. Taxi shift changes are 4-6 PM, making taxis less available at the most busy part of town. Know your part of town. Taxis heading home will say where they are headed. They will only go to areas near their home direction.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GearGuy Nice hotel, terrible internet service
Most everything at the hotel was very good. However the internet service and wireless connections were the worst I have ever experienced at a Holiday Inn. And I stay at a lot of them, I'm a Platinum member. There were two big issues, speed and lack of connectivitiy. Even the wired connections were extremely slow. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who requires a good, reliable internet connection.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MrBusy Great Hotel shame about the Wifi
Nice hotel, good location and lovely staff.
The room was big and comfy, nice facilities, late check out till 2pm with access to gym after was great. All in all great except the Wifi which meant I had to go down to the lobby to join other guests (with the same issue) and the free lobby wifi.. it became a massive pain as you cant relax as much as you would like.
So a great hotel unfortunately let down by bad tech. If you don't need wifi then definitely book it. If you need wifi in your room consider carefully.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wombat good place to stay in the hart of the city
The hotel staff is very friendly and the rooms are good and clean.
I can't comment on the food and beverage.
We stayed one night to get some sleep while traveling from Oz to Europe.
The only disadvantage was the free wifi. That only works in the reception area, which is somewhat inconvenient.
But for all we understood, they are working on it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by mitchtan Service is lacklust and does not offer upgrade
Was in Singapore last weekend for a quick turnaround business and leisure. I stayed 2 nights in Holiday Inn Outram upon arrival from US, then off to Saigon for a night and back to Singapore for 3 nights. Usually I stay in Holiday Inn Outram out of habit but this trip I decided to book my last 3 nights in Holiday Inn Orchard to try out that property.
For Holiday Inn Outram, my initial reaction to my room assigned was surprised that I was not offer a room upgrade based on my Platinum status. No issue I thought, since I am going to stay 2 nights only.
I was assigned 901 which has its door facing room 902. On the second night (28Nov) when I was still recovering from my jetlag, there was a commotion at around 1am outside my door. I do not know the details but it seems that the guest in room 902 has issues with entering the room.
There was constant commotion whereby someone was trying to force their way into the room and there were like up to 5 people outside the room discussing what to do blah blah. They did not leave till 2am. Afterwhich it took me another full 30 mins to fall back to sleep.
While I recognize the fact that the 902 room commotion can be a freak accident. I can't help to think that if I have been upgraded, I will at minimal be given a room whereby I don't have to be assigned a room that has a bed so close to the door that I can hear all sorts of unnecessary noises from corridor.
I have stayed in Holiday Inn Outram multiple times before and usually I get upgraded and this is really unfortunate that I do not get a room upgrade automatically . This goes to show that this hotel property do not recognize the Priority Club program and their commitment to provide consistent service level recognition as advertised by the program. In any event that there were no better room available, I would assume I would be given some sort of explanation during check-in. Hence, I consider this a fail in service and lack of training? or alignment to Priority Club program.
My experience with Holiday Inn Orchard however was better as they recognize my Priority Club status and gave me an upgrade to a comfortable room.
