Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, but breakfast not included I am a member of the Holiday Inn rewards club, and have used them quite often. This hotel was located in the downtown area, and I think the breakfast was not included because of that. Most of all the other HI I've been to have breakfast included. I travel frequently with my family and its just easier to get food at the hotel. Won't stop me from using HI just a disappointment for this particular location. November 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Good location but not the best neighborhood. Local construction makes it very difficult to drive anywhere in downtown Sioux City. It appears they did not even plan these road repairs. Beware of long trains that appear around 5pm and block access from the north side for over 45 minutes. Hotel appears less friendly compared with last year. Customer Service was disappointing - surprising given all the construction in the area making access difficult. WI Fi was upgraded since last year which was a nice improvement. Express checkout bill was not correct. Had to stop at front desk to get fixed. November 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor updates The room appeared to have been updated in the last few years, but the layout leaves much to be desired. Light switches are in strange places, the bathroom is laid out so that it is awkward to use and the room in general is cramped. The television did not work properly and when attempting to contact someone to assist I was put on hold never getting the issue attended to. November 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for Jay Leno show In town for the Jay Leno show at Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux City. Hotel was an easy 6 block walk. Front desk staff was nice and welcoming. Room was large, clean and quite. Work out room had a great tread mill and TV for my morning two miles. Breakfast was piping hot and tasty. Oh, the coffee was good too ! Road construction made entry a bit challenging, but a newly paved street will be a great addition to this hotel. November 7, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude staff Upon checking in, I clearly stated that I would pay cash for the room as it was being split by two parties. They insisted a credit card be on file, which I gladly provided BUT stated again that I would be paying cash upon checking out. When it came time to check out, they had overcharged my room rate (I had a hospital patient discount) and they informed me that no cash was necessary as my card had been charged and that they would return the difference to my card (Approx. $70). After 3 days of no activity to my checking account, I called and was told that the situation had not been passed on and that the night auditor would handle it that evening. 2 days later, still no credit to my account and so I called again and the receptionist was so incredibly rude and stated that 'The night auditor handles that'. When I asked for the amount that they were refunding my card, she gave me a total that was less than what I had figured and so I told her that I would be double checking that number and calling back if incorrect. She then stated that 'The night auditor was never wrong but if you feel like it is necessary, then go ahead' (Exact words) She was incredibly rude and after this whole error made on their behalf, I was expecting an apology and possibly an additional discount. I received nothing but attitude and the impression that I was 'bothering them'. I am ridiculously dissatisfied to say the least and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. In fact, I will make sure to let everyone I know to stay elsewhere. I would pay $50 more a night to avoid this place. October 31, 2014
