Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Nice spacious room Not in a great area but has good access to main roads. The area may have had something to do with the fact that the lift buttons had been abused and were damaged. Otherwise, the staff were very polite and friendly and did their best to be helpful. Stayed one night prior to flight and felt railroaded into taking dinner in the restuarant with the 'Christmas Parties'. There were virtually no decorations and absolutely no Xmas spirit, service was patchy. Save your money and eat in the bar. December 16, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Services I am club member of IHG and I booked this hotel on their website for a night December 06, 2014 - confirmation number is # 68137258. IHG offer complimentary internet and a glass of wine for their club members in this hotel. When I checked in about 9pm, the receptionist say "we have complimentary internet, but it does not work"???!!! When I asked about glass of wine for us for club members' benefit, she asked me show the evidence!!!. I told her go to ihg website to check and she checked and gave the voucher by throwing it on the desk. She is not aware about promotion offer for in house guess for sure but the attitude to hand the voucher is not acceptable. Maybe she thought I am beggar. I stayed on the 6 floor (608) and the button call the lift go down was broken. I had to press the go up button and go up and then go down. Again the buttons inside the lift were broken and lucky, lift stopped in the lobby floor. This hotel has only one restaurant and one bar but they blocked them for Christmas Event and the small meeting room became the restaurant on that night, in stead of using meeting / ball room for the even. The "restaurant" - meeting room had a few table and packed (of course with capacity of the hotel) and is sting of the food and I could not find any restaurant in the neighbourhood. I came back and ask her to talk to manager. The Duty manager apologied for the issue and offered me the meal in room and free (food only). We ordered dishes for 2 person but they brought food with only one cutlery. Opps, we did not want to border any more so we had to share: one used knife and fork and other used spoon. I also needed extension lead and we called reception and she said she would send to us in 15 mins but nothing happened. I stayed in many IHG hotel include Intercontinental, Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express but never been "impressed" like this hotel. They need to improve the service and maintenance facilities. December 8, 2014

I have stayed regularly over recent months on business trips and never before have I known the staff in any hotel to consistently excel in their ability to make me feel welcome, valued and genuinely want to know if there was anything they could have done to make my stay better. So refreshing; long may it continue. December 7, 2014
