Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fryars Great pool, clean rooms, and the Food Network...ahhh!
Great place to stay for business and or leisure. Very close in proximity to my sister's home in Somerset. Close to shopping area, grocery store, restaurant choices, etc. Clean and attractive place. GREATEST service from their staff too. Nice folk. I'd definitely stay there again.

Only 1 outlet by the desk and had to use the ethernet cable for average internet access. WiFi was spotty. Room wasn't bad for a 1 night stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lesa Rooms were Great/ Dining Room and Bar area Not very Clean
Rooms were great. Nice and clean and comfortable as expected with the IHG. Bar area had sticky surfaces and Restaurant had food ground into seats and overall dirty. The Breakfast Bar was bad. The Holiday Inn Expresses have a better breakfast and cleaner space. $10 for breakfast is not worth the money. I did not eat breakfast at all my second morning because of it. Food in the bar was good though.
When I checked in, my member status was not acknowledged and I was not offered a welcome gift or points. And I am a Spire Elite Member with well over 200,000 points. I stay at IHG Hotels exclusively and would not stay at this location again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Guest* Loud and smelly aircon
Wouldn't stay here again. Hotel is old and smelly. Window in room could not be opened and aircon was loud and smelled like a locker room. Cleanliness of room couldn't make up for that. The gym didn't deserve the designation.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Counselor23 Occupancy Fee
This was a very decent hotel but my only warning is if you're comparing prices online be careful because this hotel does charge occupancy fees. This isn't made known online or when you call to book rooms so you're really not comparing "real" prices. They should just increase the price of the room to include the occupancy fees but that would only show higher nightly rates to consumers that are comparing. Besides, what is this fee really for?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AnthonySc Need a lesson in customer service from night time desk manager
I have stayed at this hotel for over 14 years. I am a Platinum Spire member as well. I had a 4 person gathering and breakfast with my co workers. We stayed from 9:30am to about 12PM. The banquet manager from a distance asked us if i was staying any longer. If we were to stay longer she wanted to charge me for a meeting. There was nobody in the room. The fact that she do not approach us and simply asked how long we were going to stay was very rude. I went to discuss this with the manager and explained that we may have over stayed in the restaurant but that was no way to handle a guest. He never looked up my status never asked why i was in the there, he was going to explain to me what their policy was. Not happy i left a will never stay there again. One good note is that the desk manager is great and i wish i could remember his name. The hotel used to have ice cream in a freezer case. As soon i said that he disappeared and so i went to my room. He called to my room and said he went to the kitchen and put some in a bowl. The staff should take a lesson from that guy.
