I write this review after contacting management during and after my stay as well as contacting IG with no response. I stay in this area several times a year and have for the last 8 years. There are lots of hotels to choose from. This is an area of hotels close to the highway that has a problem with parking lot break ins. I chose this property because it had been a safe bet in the past. This past fall, however, the hotel was busy and the only available parking was in the back parking lot, a lot that did not have working lights. I did not feel safe leaving my vehicle, and, more importantly, I did not feel safe walking to and from my car. When I notified the desk manager, they contacted the manager on duty who indicated through the desk manager that there was no intention to repair the lights. In this world, an unlit parking lot is an open invitation to dangerous situations. It is obvious to me that management is not interested enough to contact a regular customer to discuss these issues. I will look to stay at another property the next time I travel to this area.

Room was comfortable, temperature easily controlled. Prefer room with micro and refrigerator. Hotel seems to be promoting their restaurant and bar, as opposed to providing comfort by having these amenities in room,

We came in late and should have moved rooms.
Main light was out when you walked in the room. Desk lamp bulb was out. Rug between the Air conditioner/Heater and the bed was very wet. Room had a musty odor because of this. Mirrored closet door was off its track and could not be moved.
In the morning the person at the front desk said that the manager would call us. She never called.
We paid extra for the hot breakfast. Cold eggs and greasy breakfast meats. Service was good.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by KB40 Very poor dining experience!
The rooms are starting to show a little age but still acceptable as long as the price is competitive.
The restaurant was recommended by the front desk however the dining experience could not have been worse. The service was extremely slow and the food very poor. After reaching out to customer care I was informed that management had been informed but as of now I have not heard back from the hotel!
There are plenty of hotels to choose from in the area and I will not be going back! If you decide to go - beware of the so called steaks!

Other than some disappointments with room service, the room and food are well worth the prices. Quiet and easy to find, the hotel is very nice.

First time we stayed, we were very pleased. This time, we ate at the grill and found the food to be ok, service was very friendly and good, but the tables were not cleaned and it was just a very cold atmosphere. Didn't enjoy much.
With regards to the room, the beds are very comfortable. Only complaint we have is that you need to put the coffee pot tray in a suitable place.
Its ridiculous where it is. Coffee in the morning is important and its behind the TV. Its awkward and we just don't bother to make the coffee, which starts out my day in a bad way.
All in all, its a nice hotel.

... it would be nice if there was fridge in the room just like the other Holiday Inns in New Jersey. Other than that, it's clean, comfortable, and a relaxing stay.

We were extremely disappointed that there was no refrigerator provided in the room. I had purposely brought beverages with me as my daughter was in a golf tournament at Rutgers and I wanted to bring water and pop with me to the golf course. The ice machine just did not cut it. And another thing, our room had a urine smell to it, not sure why, but should have requested another room, but next time I will.
The other thing disappointing about our recent trip was there was no real good place to eat other than in your lobby and Ruby Tuesday. It took us 45 minutes to find some place to eat. The staff only mentioned Ruby Tuesday and Alexander's. We did eat at Alexander's and my sandwich was very good. My husband's burger was not very good.
The price was good for the room. Staff friendly and helpful, just a few drawbacks.
