Hotel near Boston and the free shuttle was our entered into our selection to book this hotel.

prepaid rooms clerk said can't check us in without cc why offered 200.00 dollars to cover any cost was denied asked to talk to desk manager was told he wasn't available

Had some expectations, but unfortunately, the hotel didn't meet any of them. Front desk staff were fine, but the night shift is simply horrible. The toilet got clogged during the night, and immediately started flooding the room (great pipework, by the way). I ran to reception and asked for help - I was told by the very rude night shift attendant the there is no one at the hotel to help, but he'll try and call security. The security guy came after 20 minutes (during which we were fighting with the toilet - huge fun), and said this is not part of his job, but he'll "do us a favor". Gee, thanks. We waited for another 10 minutes till he brought some equipment, and solved the problem. I must mention that I complained in the morning to the front desk manager, and got 50% off that night - but that still doesn't make up for a completely sleepless night. They have to improve their night service, it was horrible.
Room - although renovated, not maintained well. The bath faucet broke apart when I first tried to use it, and I had to bring it back together while having some ice cold water raining down from the shower head. Fun, again. Cleaning service was horrible - not wnough towels, never got soaps/shampoo replenished. Nothing. Also, I was told that the windows were sealed - but the window was poorly sealed, so wind came in and road noise was very much evident (asked for a quiet room before checking in, got a room facing the noisey road).
Breakfast not good as well - bacon inedible, scrambled eggs quite disgusting, bread not fresh, panckae machine never seemed to work - you get the picture.
Shuttle service - although a great idea, poorly executed. The driver was always late - he was 20 minutes late to pick us up from the city on our last day (really a 15 minute drive during these hours, so I can't imagine it took his 35). If you can't make it work on tine, don't offer a shuttle service.
Simply not good enough.
