We thought that this would be a good location to take the train to Manhatten. The train station, Edison, was about 3 or 4 miles away. The parking was cheap at the station. But the train ride was about an hour to Penn Station. Next time I'll probably stay somewhere closer to reduce the train ride. November 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent I stayed at this hotel for 8 weeks while away for work. It was a decent hotel. Pros: Breakfast Comfortable Bed Microwave and Mini Fridge Free WiFi Cons: A/C and Heater Staff at Front Desk Side Entrance Door The breakfast is better than most average hotel breakfasts. They usually have scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, and either waffles, pandcakes, or french toast. They also had the normal cereals, bagels, etc. that you would expect at a continental breakfast. I stayed in six different rooms while i was there and the air conditioner and heater were a problem in all of the rooms. They did a horrible job of keeping the room at constant temperature. Some rooms it wasnt too bad but the worst room i had was constantly overheating the room. I finally set the temperature to 60 degrees (as low as it could go) and the room would heat up to what felt like 90 degrees and then get freezing cold and continue with that cycle all night. About fifty percent of the time when i went to the front desk, no one was there for about 15 minutes. Not a huge deal except the one morning it almost made me late for work. The side entrance door was having issues reading the cards all eight weeks i was there and it was never fixed. About half way through my stay they put an out of order sign on the door, but it was still very inconvenient. November 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wouldn't Return Upon checking in, the guy in front of me was complaining to the front desk that his iPad had been stolen from his room. Staff didn't seem to empathetic. Next morning at breakfast, another guiest was telling his coworker that his truck had been broken into. Lots of long hairs on the floor in the bathroon from previous guests. A great experience and would ask, seeing that I will be utilizing this location alot in the future with the company I just began employed with, is possibly rotate the mattress' or possibly think about replacing. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hospitality My stay with this Holiday was took me a min to find a hotel that would allow me to have 8 kids for a surprise bday party for my 12 yr old.. and not to mention the location, allowed me to take the kids to Joes crab shack.. The staff was very accomdating and the rooms were very comfortable..and clean. Also the complimentary breakfast was very tasty. Our one night stay was plagued by someone pulling the fire alarm at 0230 am. ,with it taking the local FD at least 30 min to respond. After hearing the alarm for so long it was impossible to go back to sleep. I hope the Hotel will follow up with the prosecution of these people. August 20, 2013

Bathroom was a nice size. Very impressed with the hotel and it's friendly staff. Had breakfast in the morning from the cafe and loved it. Would stay there again without hesitation and would recommend to others. Close to shopping and multitude of dining venues. Overall experience: Wonderful! August 14, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Staff The staff at this hotel are the nicest folks. They try to accommondate as much as possible. I had one small problem and when I called after getting home the manager called me back to find out exactly what the situation was so he could correct it. How many hotel managers will do that. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a nice size with mini frig. and microwave and very clean. I am one of those people who checks corners especially in the bathroom and the floor was clean right into the corner. The towels were soft. So often in hotels, they are a bit scratchy. It is a little thing but does make a difference. Also, they have a very nice complimentary hot breakfast which is convenient and the OJ which tasted like fresh squeezed was a nice touch. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good time This was not a very good stay for me. I have stayed here before, but this time was not pleasant. I was scheduled for a 2 day stay. I wanted to checkout early, I asked the counter person if I would be charged for the night since it was after 4:00pm. She said yes. I got my belongings and returned to the front desk only to find out that I WILL be charged for the night. Being a very good customer I was not happy with this. Then to top it off, my car was hit in the parking lot, and there are no surveillance cameras. I will not be staying at this Holiday inn in the future. July 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, overpriced, poor wireless The hotel is clean and comfortable with a free continental breakfast and a decent exercise room if your exercise needs are basic (which mine are). It's pricey - the area itself might drive that, although the area is nothing to write home about (very commercial, not very atractive but there are shopping, restaurants and movies nearby). But my biggest complaint and the only significant reason that will send me to another hotel next time is that the in-room wireless service is horrible. I had a lot of difficulty connecting to the service and when I could connect, the signal strength was very low. Once connected it was very hard to stay connected - at the end of it all, the wireless service is useless and therefore I had no email or surfing capability. June 24, 2013

Pillows were lumpy and the sheets were worn. on a positive note.... complimentary Breakfast choices were great. The waiter attending to the guest for breakfast was very friendly and attentive. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Priority Club Member The rooms have no information about the hotel or area restaurants. There are people hanging around the outside doors smoking and the litter is heavy . Place a ash tray at doors. Our favorite local restaurant is Red Robin. Our favorite employee of the hotel is Robert at the breakfast buffet. He is the best. We wonder how he remembers us each time we come. Probably because we tip him for the great food and service. Not many people do acknowledge his efforts. May 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This HI property needs to seriously be re-evaluated There is a certain "stench" throughout the entire hotel. There was hair all over the bath tub and bathroom floor. I asked the front desk clerk to have it cleaned again, and "nothing was touch 5 hours later" when I returned. I used priority club point for this stay, which made it less painful. If I would have paid for it directly, I would have not stayed at this facility. May 13, 2013
