I really would like to take a moment and thank your staff for being so Awesome. Specifically Angie, Kiran, Chris and so on sorry can't remember all the staff. They just did a wonderful job of helping me with everything. Just so you know I was there with them for almost a month at one time. It almost felt like home away from home. Great job to your wonderful staff.

My stay with this Holiday was wonderful..it took me a min to find a hotel that would allow me to have 8 kids for a surprise bday party for my 12 yr old.. and not to mention the location, allowed me to take the kids to Joes crab shack.. The staff was very accomdating and the rooms were very comfortable..and clean. Also the complimentary breakfast was very tasty. I travel quite often for work..and my 3 room stay with reward points. .was very rewarding. THANK YOU!

I was issued a smoking room by mistake and was quickly accommodated with a non-smoking room as ordered online. Room did not have a remote but the staff was more than helpful in providing us with one! Overall experience was great for the price and location just outside NYC!

Was happily surprised to find a microwave as well as a refrigerator and coffee or tea available in the very comfortable room. The complimentary breakfast available was superior. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all this was an exceptional experience.

Our one night stay was plagued by someone pulling the fire alarm at 0230 am. ,with it taking the local FD at least 30 min to respond. After hearing the alarm for so long it was impossible to go back to sleep. I hope the Hotel will follow up with the prosecution of these people.

Stayed with a friend for a girl's night out. Property was clean and we were welcomed as soon as we walked into the lobby. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was a nice size. Very impressed with the hotel and it's friendly staff. Had breakfast in the morning from the cafe and loved it. Would stay there again without hesitation and would recommend to others. Close to shopping and multitude of dining venues. Overall experience: Wonderful!

The staff at this hotel are the nicest folks. They try to accommondate as much as possible. I had one small problem and when I called after getting home the manager called me back to find out exactly what the situation was so he could correct it. How many hotel managers will do that. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a nice size with mini frig. and microwave and very clean. I am one of those people who checks corners especially in the bathroom and the floor was clean right into the corner. The towels were soft. So often in hotels, they are a bit scratchy. It is a little thing but does make a difference. Also, they have a very nice complimentary hot breakfast which is convenient and the OJ which tasted like fresh squeezed was a nice touch.

The bathroom door knobs were broken and bathroom looked old. Need to be refurbished.
Beds were not very comfortable.
Staff was not very helpful when i checked in at night.

We stayed for 3 weeks and during the 3 weeks I felt that there was no deviation in the quality of service, the staff is courteous and helpful and the atmosphere is so relaxing. the location is also excellent with all the stores at walking distance.

This was not a very good stay for me. I have stayed here before, but this time was not pleasant. I was scheduled for a 2 day stay. I wanted to checkout early, I asked the counter person if I would be charged for the night since it was after 4:00pm. She said yes. I got my belongings and returned to the front desk only to find out that I WILL be charged for the night. Being a very good customer I was not happy with this. Then to top it off, my car was hit in the parking lot, and there are no surveillance cameras.
I will not be staying at this Holiday inn in the future.

The hotel is clean and comfortable with a free continental breakfast and a decent exercise room if your exercise needs are basic (which mine are). It's pricey - the area itself might drive that, although the area is nothing to write home about (very commercial, not very atractive but there are shopping, restaurants and movies nearby). But my biggest complaint and the only significant reason that will send me to another hotel next time is that the in-room wireless service is horrible. I had a lot of difficulty connecting to the service and when I could connect, the signal strength was very low. Once connected it was very hard to stay connected - at the end of it all, the wireless service is useless and therefore I had no email or surfing capability.

The room was clean and spacious but it needs a little updating... curtains/drapes were torn. Pillows were lumpy and the sheets were worn.
on a positive note.... complimentary Breakfast choices were great. The waiter attending to the guest for breakfast was very friendly and attentive.

We keep coming back to this Holiday Inn. Our daughter attends Rutgers and it is convenient, well kept (the breakfast guy is THE BEST!) and more than a great value at the price. Highly receommend this hotel if you're staying in the area.

The rooms have no information about the hotel or area restaurants. There are people hanging around the outside doors smoking and the litter is heavy . Place a ash tray at doors. Our favorite local restaurant is Red Robin. Our favorite employee of the hotel is Robert at the breakfast buffet. He is the best. We wonder how he remembers us each time we come. Probably because we tip him for the great food and service. Not many people do acknowledge his efforts.

There is a certain "stench" throughout the entire hotel. There was hair all over the bath tub and bathroom floor. I asked the front desk clerk to have it cleaned again, and "nothing was touch 5 hours later" when I returned. I used priority club point for this stay, which made it less painful. If I would have paid for it directly, I would have not stayed at this facility.

Very disappointed after spending 9 Nights at this mediocre hotel that they didn't give Holiday Inn Prioirty Club Reward points for a Corporate rate. This should have been spelled out by them at time reservation was made. If this hotel doesn't appreciate business travelers anymore than this, then I will urge my Company to utilize other hotels in the area.

I stayed here for a week while attending a class at Rutgers, and it was FAR more than I could have expected. It was a very reasonable rate, so I was expecting no frills. But Holiday Inn has clearly made a renewed effort to people, comfort and their amazing staff. The room was comfortable, clean, modern, and well-suited for evening work (free wi-fi, a nice desk, etc.). The cleaning staff took excellent care of my room every day. The gym, pool and sauna were an added bonus and made the stay even more comfortable.
But what REALLY sets this hotel apart is the people. From the front desk attendee who answered my 5:00 am questions about taxis, to the incredibly dedicated and friendly gentleman getting everyone their to-go coffees after the (great) free breakfast, to the cleaning staff, to the sweet waitresses at Ruby Tuesday's, to the lovely staff working the front desk- not a person I met was anything but lovely. People make all the difference, bravo to Holiday Inn for recognizing this and hiring amazing people.

great service from overnight front desk clerk. tasty breakfast. Just a bit discouraging that they do not give the points for corporate lodging guests. I understand that we are getting a better than rack rate, but we can make other choices when available. Overall, a nice place to go to at the end of the day.

I have stayed at this Hotel many, many times over the last 5 years and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. I am most impressed by the "free" breakfast, they set themselves apart from their sister brand, Holiday Inn Express, on two levels. the first is that it is unusual for a Holiday Inn (non-Express) to have a free breakfast, the second is the food is good from fruit and yogurt to eggs, bacon and sausage to cereal and toast. Did I say good, I meant excellent! There is even an attentive wait staff eager to make sure you have everything you need. There is a Ruby Tuesdays attached to the hotel and a plethora of other restaurants within walking distance. It is about 1500 ft to I-287, NYC is an easy commute from there. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is, they are often booked up and I have to stay elsewhere, call ahead!

The positive elements of our stay was the convenient location and great breakfast. The hotel staff provided outstanding service at the front desk, housekeeping and the breakfast area. The variety of food at breakfast was really good and the service was over the top.
Unfortunately, due to the condition of the rooms and bed, I would not recommend staying at this location. The room smelled stale and musty - almost like smoke. It was definitely a smoking room in the past. There was dust coming out of the heating system so both room occupants had scratchy throats and sinus headaches throughout the 4-day stay. The sore throats and headaches were gone as soon as we checked out of the hotel to return home. The beds were too soft and caused backaches.
We like to travel but couldn't wait to return home after this trip.

The hotel is in a great location, near shopping and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable. The employees at the lobby desk were pleasant and accommodating. The day of our check out, I had inquired about a store that was nearby and the woman looked up the address for me and directed me which way to go. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, hot, great selection and the waiter was very nice. He even remembered our table from the morning before and set us up immediately upon seeing us. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for a great experience.

I've been staying at this property 2-3 nights per week for the past year and a half. The main reason I stay here is that it's very close to my office and it's a pretty good value.
Not sure how old the hotel is but they've done a pretty good job of continually updating it. Beds are comfortable, nice TV's, updated bathroom countertops, etc. I stopped staying here for a short time because their wi-fi was horrible! Slow, dropped connections, etc. However, they replaced or upgraded everything and now it works great. I know this sounds like a silly reason to not stay somewhere but when you're there every week things like that become important. I do, however, need to give them some credit. I came into town recently at the last minute and did not have a reservation. It was right after Hurricane Sandy and everything in NJ was sold out. I went to the front desk and the manager jumped through hoops and was able to get me a room which I really do appreciate.
I also like the fact that it's connected to Ruby Tuesday restaurant. This wouldn't be my first choice of where to eat but after a long day it's great to just walk downstairs and grab some decent food. Their in-house breakfast buffet is good as well. Plenty of choices and good service.
Overall the staff is friendly, quick, and accomodating. My only gripe is that as a Priority Club Platinum member I qualify for free room upgrades if available. They have at least 4 suites, maybe more. Every time I check in I have to ask if upgrades are available. Every time the answer is no. What I've had to do is use the Priority Club app on my iphone right before I get there and see what rooms are available. If a suite is available to book but they tell me no for an upgrade I show them what their app says and sort of have to twist an arm to get the better room. I don't like having to do this but I spend almost as much time at this hotel as I do at home. If there's an upgrade to be had I feel like it should be offered.
The hotel is also very convenient to highways, shopping, food, etc. Only about 30-40 to NYC depending on traffic.

The room itself wasn't bad . Getting there proved to be a challenge on a daily basis though because none of the card readers on the auxillary doors were functioning . The bed was comfortable , the pillows were sufficent , and it was extremely quiet on the fourth floor . The heating and cooling unit in my room may have contributed to the sense of silence perceived because it sounded like a freight train the entire month I was present . The refrigerator was a decent size , but , there wasn't a microwave in the room upon arrival as agreed upon ( Had to wait a week for that to arrive # . The Wifi , when it worked , was great . It tended to crash at peak usage hours though . And finally , the Priority Club Rewards points . I gave my membership # to the clerk upon arrival , and did the same upon leaving , as usual . But , the clerk informed me upon checking out that " I was getting such a low rate that I wasn't eligible for them " . That information # which I know to be false # was very disappointing to hear . In fact , I will take my business elsewhere .

had no power at home. checked in as there was a cancellation. would not honor a AAA discount due to the storm. room entry system not working. had to have have door opened by staff. went to bed and watched TV. power went out. no TV, no lights just like home. had to use my cell phone light to find the bathroom each time. lights finally came on hours later. elevator not working. had to wald down four flights. asked for price break and was told no as it was not their falt. morning clerk gave me a discount equal to a AAA discount and said that i should have been given the discount. what is your policy in situations like this?
