Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Paid for a standard room upon arriving to check in about 10pm I was put in a disabled room because we were the last guests to check in. Bed was not the usual standard size so was not big enough for two. However because i was staying two nights I was moved to a different room the next morning. It would be nice if rooms are allocated according to when booked not time of arrival Also, while booking, guest should be made to know if it's only a disabled room available. September 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An excellent stay, in an excellent city The Hotel is located at mayflower park which is only a 10 minute walk from the town centre whilst providing excellent sea views and of the local ferry ports. The service provided by the staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful, the room was great and provided everything needed. The food and bar were good with nice service. The town has great restaurants, shopping, history and venues and is located near other locations like Southsea or Hayling Island for beaches and not far from Chichester or Bosham for small coastal towns. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable stay Overall the stay was enjoyable. The hotel is close to the shopping centre and has good facilities. We never got into our room till around 2.30pm and they forgot to pay the fare for our taxi to the port terminal as was part of our package. When contacting the hotel to inform them , they told us to get a receipt and come back to the hotel on our return which we were unable to do as we had a flight to catch. Rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was good. September 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and good service We have stayed in this Hotel at least five times in as many years. Our main reason is for a night before departing on a cruise. The service and standard of the Hotel is excellent. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The rooms are great, very comfortable and clean. The Holiday Inn also provides parking for the duration of the cruise which is another bonus. Overall an excellent Hotel with great facilities and attentive, helpful staff. September 18, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The hotel in the boat show We were surprised on arrival to find the car park and gardens covered in marquees,stands etc.AS our stay progressed so did the take over by the boat show.The entrance hall became a Starbuchs coffee bar and the lounge became the Royal Yacht Club Members reception. Had we been informed of what was happening we would have postponed our visit. The airconditioning in our room was quite inefficient and the warm nights meant we had to try and sleep with the window open next to a very busy road! All in all a most unsatisfactory experience.
