I would rate my stay at Holiday Inn Suites to be above my expectations in every way the staff was very friendly and the room was very nice and comfortable also the food was excellent as well and I will make a point to stay there again when I travel. I would highly recommend Holiday Inn Suites to anyone .I have stayed in much more expensive places but none were any better and a lot of them were no where near as good.. February 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quite and clean rooms. The staff are great! Our room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were not very comfortable. They were very hard and made sleeping tough. Even though this facility was located just off the interstate and a busy road, the rooms were extremely quite. We would stay here again if we are ever back in the area. February 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Consideration during eating During my evening dinner, the TV in the dining room was on, and a very untimely medical show came on that was not too appropriate to watch during eating, due to the gory nature of the show. The hostess on staff at the time quickly recognized this and changed the channel. I really wanted to thank her for recognizing this and taking action, but I didn't get the opportunity because I did not see her as I was leaving. So I just want to give credit to the staff overall for being considerate and making my stay pleasant. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful when I stay there, which is why I keep coming back to the same hotel when I am in Springfield for business travel. Again, thank you to the staff! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Retro Experience with a few surprises It was obvious that at some time this was a upscale hotel which is fine for some. We stopped here on a cross country road trip after having stayed a numerous Holiday Inn "Express". Experiencing great accommodations and services along the way. We did not notice how old this place was prior to staying. We were in a corner room which was located above the trash containers so in the middle of the night we heard the pick up and banging of metal containers. The TV reception was iffy and was looking for a "signal" when it was on. The wi-fi was ok. There is NO refrigerator or Microwave. There is a sit down restaurant but no free breakfast. Just free coffee in the lobby in the a.m. There is no thermostat, just a on/off and knob to adjust warmer or cooler. We did not bother with that as I did not want to wake up in the middle of the night to turn it off or on. Turns out I could have since I kept waking up. There is huge waterfall in the center courtyard of the hotel. I know some people like white noise to sleep in but I am sensitive to noise.Room was not super dark. The room was large, updated and the bathroom was very clean. There were no chargers on the nightstand lamps which is unusual. Large hotel so not easy to run down to car if you forgot something. I will continue to stay at Holiday Inns but just newer ones for my needs. It is a convenient location to fwy and food. I appreciate Retro but we had a 12 hr drive ahead of us and needed a good nights rest. It is good enough for all the airline pilots I saw come through in a short period of time. January 30, 2016
