Found the staff person at check-in efficient and helpful with dinner suggestions. Server at breakfast was excellent but thought our breakfast was included and it was not. Pool needed some attention.

normally I am not a complainer - but I am making an exception. There was no partition between the bedroom and the sofa/living room, also that room was only half painted. This is the only hotel that I have ever stayed in that did not have complimentary breakfast. Your breakfast buffet was priced high - we had to go next door every morning for breakfast. I am sorry for complaining.

Receptionist was too busy looking down at her desk and did not great us or bother to find our reservation which was prepaid by our son as a present. I even asked her if she was having a bad day, but she did not even get my hint.
The rest of out stay was perfect just like a Holiday Inn. However we will not stay at this hotel again because the staff we had contact with was not friendly and courteous
Even the restaurant person who came to tell us they were closed was not friendly. There is lack of Customer Service Training

On the night of 03/27/15 my wife and I checked in late for our 14th anniversary. Upon check in we had a difficult time due to the fact that we had 2 separate reservations. We were told that we would not be able to stay in the same room for both nights, until we asked for a manager, and then and only then did the guy take the time to actually look at the reservation books to verify. Then the next morning after trying to get a good night sleep we was awakened by an fire alarm with no announcement or notification of what to do. My wife woke up screaming, WHAT DO WE DO WHAT DO WE DO!!!!! Neither of us were in any condition to go outside. We called the front desk and were told that she thinks its a false alarm. With the thought of (thinks it a false alarm) we proceeded to get dress onto which it was a false alarm so of course we could not go back to sleep. The second night we stayed in the same room on the same floor as a party bus or something like it with people that were not courteous and were very active in the we-hours of the morning again. Which overall ruined our hole weekend and first experience in the area. 2nd night Reservation #67613829

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Holiday Inner When you travel a lot, you know what to expect with the Holiday Inn brand.
I don't want to worry about how clean my room will be or what they will have on the breakfast menu, that is why I like to book with the Holiday Inn brands. The neighborhoods are always nice, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is better than average.

Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping to the staff at breakfast, were very friendly. We had a flat tire and the front desk helped us locate a tire repair shop along with help planning our day without a functioning car. The hotel is very new feeling, clean and the beds are quite comfortable. It's a little bit further walk than I had expected to the historic area but, during the day, not a problem to do. We had breakfast included which was a nice spread of food.

The only problem we encounter was that the rate of the reservation changed every time we called to confirm. In the end, the staff at the counter gave us the rate that we had originally booked with no argument.
