I stayed at the Holiday Inn Route 66 from a recommendation from a Holiday Inn Express hotel in Illinois. The hotel was newly renovated, and had a very comfortable bed. I was with my family on this trip so I enjoyed the easy access to Six Flags. Our room was very clean, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The restaurant Mile 277 connected to the hotel has excellent food, and cold beverages. I would stay at this hotel again.

This is our second stay here within two weeks. The desk associate Sunny twice upgraded our rooms to accommodate unexpected changes in our plans. She was just the best! I highly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay, I would stay there again. It is in a good location very near major highways and there are decent places to eat and shop close by.

This is without a doubt the rudest place I have ever encountered. I am a platinum member as well as a resort owner. I was bored and playing my acoustic guitar at 9:30 in the evening when I got a pounding on my door. I was greated by the rudest person I have ever encountered at a hotel and I stay in a lot of hotels. This woman told me to stop playing or the police would be called. I stopped my playing and 10 minutes later I have some one pounding on my door again. It is this woman with police officers in tow. When I opened the door you could have knocked the officers over with a feather. I could tell by the look on their faces they were expecting a group of younger individuals not a middle aged man. One officer stood back and shook his head and rolled his eyes in disbelief. The TV was louder than my playing. I have stayed at this hotel and had barking dogs on the same floor as me and never complained. I will never stay at this facility again.

I travel approximately 80 days a year for work and try to stay at Holiday Inn's when possible for the points. My problems started at check in. The guy at the front desk wrote down my room number wrong so it took 3 trips down and back to correct it. This wouldn't have been a huge problem, expect for the fact that only 1 elevator in the entire hotel worked, so I had to go way out of my way with bags in tow. Secondly, the bar and grill attached to the hotel had the worst food and service I have ever had. We had 5 people in our party and none of us got our food at the same time. 2 people were served and got done eating, then 2 other people were served and ate, and then I finally got my food. We all placed our orders at the same time. Lastly, the hotel rooms are nice and remodeled, but there is no sound proofing. Good luck sleeping past 5:30 or 6 am. As soon as another guest lets their door slam it is like a bomb going off. This happens time and time again as people leave their rooms. Overall this is the worst Holiday Inn I have stayed in for several years. I will never go stay here again.

The woman servicing us at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. She seated us promptly and got us beverages. She was attentive to our needs even though we got the buffet.

We could hear the people in the room next to us and in the hall way. The walls must be thin and it was loud all night. The staff was not friendly and the room overpriced in our opinion.
