We stayed the weekend for our grandson's hockey tournament in St. Cloud. What a fabulous hotel you have! So fun for all the kids & adults!! Every employee was EXCELLENT!! Starting with the making & changing of my reservation, to checking in, to asking for more towels, to cleanliness of the room! So many things for the kids to do and they had a blast! Video games, pool, basketball, volleyball, plus much more - so much better than trying to have that many kids playing in one pool!!!
Keep up the great work and we plan on staying again for a family getaway!!

This is a great place for families. We were there with our three kids and other family with kids. There is so much to do for kids of all ages and adults. Our room was play zone side. The next time we stay there will definitely get that room again!!

We stay at the holiday inn because they have beds that are comfortable enough to sleep in. The problem lies with the service you get when your there and they already have your money. I asked for a room close to the elevator because i have to have knee surgery and it is impossible for me to walk very long distances.
My husband went down to get some pop out of the vending machine which was on the bottom floor as was the ice and everything else. This was very inconvenient as we were put in the room at the very end of the balcony rooms. We ordered pizza and had it delivered to find out that they won't let them come up to the room to deliver and so i had to get redressed and go to the front desk and get my pizza and bring it back to the room at which time it was cold. My husband came in from trying to get pop to find the machine had no change and wouldn't accept dollar bills, i called the desk and they told me to come to the front desk and they would give us change for our dollars. NO service what so ever.

I want to start off by saying that we stay at this St. Cloud Holiday Inn, several times a year. We love the Pet Policy in regards to how the staff will take a minute to welcome our 2 labs.
We in return respect their policy and make sure we clean up after our dogs.
We understand that staying at such a kid friendly hotel that their is going to be more noise than usual. I feel that if you have a young child or don't want to have noise after like 10, then stay at the other Holiday Inn, but don't write a negative review because of it. Just do something different next time. The only negative thing that I can think of is that when you book our room through Priority, the don't always get me the room type I request... but then when we check in, the staff are able to give us what we want!
I would just like to say a BIG Thank you to everyone at the Holiday Inn. We'll see you again shortly!

Called for early check in, from 4 to 230. Was told no problem and room would be available, room was not ready till 415. Was told three occasions it would only be 15-30 minutes but turned into over an hour and a half. I get on average ten reservation a year and rarely have this issue, but very disappointing given my kids were excited to use the facilities.

Our room was considered a non - smoking room (and I think it was) however we were in what seemed like the smoking section of the hotel. Our hallway stunk terrible and therefore our room stunk every time we opened the door. With a 3 month old baby, we were extremely upset about any second hand smoke exposure. The worst part of our stay was the noise, our room was also just over the arcade which sounded like a concert. We figured it ould all quiet down when it closes (at 10PM) but no chance, there were kids playing basketball up and down our hallway, running, screaming, etc. until 2 am. It could have been longer, but we finally fell asleep at 2. Our 3 month old is a wonderful night sleeper and was continuously waking up due to the noise. Worst hotel experience we've ever had! If you plan to try and get a good nights rest, do NOT stay at this hotel! It may be great for older kids who can enjoy the arcade but that is it!

The hotel was completely full for the Presidents Weekend Holiday. Despite that fact, the hotel staff was Very Pleasant and Helpful. We were in a poolside room and it was very comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay. The game room and basketball/volleyball areas were perfect for our pre-teen children. They had a Blast! It can be a challenge to entertain pre-teens in a hotel for the entire weekend, but Holiday Inn made it easy.

I rated this hotel so bad because of there lack of caring about anything. The hotel restaurant was ok food at best waaay over priced i felt like i was eating and drinking at the airport. The staff was terrible and they give no perks for being platinum elite. I got no bottled water at check in no snack no special treatment what so ever. As these are not huge things it is still nice to receive them and it makes you feel a little special. Just not a nice hotel and no acknowledgement of status what so ever. I personally will not be staying here again.

While this location is great for families and sports teams during normal waking hours, it is NOT recommended for those who need sleep past 11:00pm! Our hockey team stayed here for an out of town tournament. The amenities - arcades, pools, etc. are supposed to be closed down by 11:00pm according to the hotel's policy. Unfortunately, the hotel still allows families or sport teams to stay outside of their rooms and be as boisterous and noisy as they like! Our team rooms were mostly facing the pool area and there was another hockey team there with parents who were loud well into the after midnight hours (these parents should have been directed to the on-site bar). Some of our families had to move to other rooms and some had to call the hotel as late as 2:00AM requesting that the staff ask these families to respect "quiet time". The hotel should have enough staff handy and make it a policy that loud groups NOT be allowed to stay outside their rooms in the areas that are close to other rooms. We will be telling our hockey association to not book this location in the future. Our children had a curfew at 10:00pm for an early morning game and did not get a good night of rest because of the chaotic environment allowed outside the rooms. The hotel needs to require any groups to reserve and pay for a private room space and keep their doors closed so that all patrons can have a relaxing experience. Very disappointed!

We picked this location due to the amenities it offered. We were very impressed with the amount of things to do for our kids. We will be staying at this location again in the future. The only thing which is odd to me is at every Holiday Inn we stay at, there are no bathroom fans to prevent the mirror from fogging up during a shower/bath. Not a huge deal. All-in-all, one of the best Holiday Inns we've stayed at. Good location in St. Cloud and close to all shopping centers/stores.

The room is good, the motel very nice. It is a family location so if you want some sleep do not get the pool side rooms.
The coffee is locked up in the restaurant and if you want a cup early forget it. Went next door and picked up a coffee maker, there is not another motel anywhere that i have been where you cannot get a cup of coffee all night long, except for here.

We LOVE going to the Holiday Inn St Cloud! We use the Volleyball courts, basketball courts, pools, whirlpools and sauna. Last time the sauna wasn't working, so I complained at the Front Desk, and the manager, and Tom in Maintenance worked above and beyond to get it working the next morning, enabling me to TOTALLY RELAX while the wind chill factor was 40 below outside! Free Wifi in the room works great - I was able to do my work like I was at my office.

Very upset hot tub was down for the night, food was charged to my account that I did not order, and the breakfast buffet was very expensive and not very good. I will not being staying here again and will not recommend this hotel to anyone. I wished now I would have asked for the some money back for my horrible stay. :(

I have been staying here on business for three days at a time, twice a year, for several years. There has been a decline in quality and service.
This is winter in Minnesota. Why are your sidewalks and parking lot not shoveled and clear of snow and ice. Make a wide path, not a narrow trail.
The Internet is very slow. I am told each time that it was just worked on this week and they will call the service tech back.
No free bottled water. You must go to the bar and purchase it. The desk clerks, on two separate days, gave me (1) drink coupons to go to the bar and get my own water. I guess they never heard of service and getting it for me when I am standing there with three bags on my shoulder.
They fill the coffee pot in my meeting room for my dozen students at 0700 -- when they don't arrive until 0830. This makes for cold coffee. No refills or warm-ups provided.

We scheduled a family get together in St. Cloud for my parents anniversary and we had a great time. We had 4 rooms,, unfortunately one of the rooms was on the opposite side of the hotel, but all in all, great accomodations and the staff was very friendly.

There are so many things wrong with this place, I don't know where to start. The price is the first obsticle. Way over priced for what you get. Big deal they have a few pools. The majority are hot tubs and kiddie pools. The only real pool is a max of 8 feet deep and they outlaw diving. In the hotel rooms, the walls are so thin you can easily hear a normal level conversation from the people in the next room. The folks next door to us had a whinny little brat that was up most of the night complaining and wanting this and that. Then she got up before dawn and was screaming some more. They finally took her out to the pool and we could then get some sleep. The drains in our bathroom were so slow that they're probably still not empty of water. Not just one drain, they all were backing up and very slow to drain water. The bathroom has a very poor ventilation system so unless you plan on leaving the bathroom door open while your shower, expect to have a very steamed-up mirror. If you want to plug something into an outlet, you might want to bring your own powerstrip. The power outlet behind the TV stand is designed so you can't really get to it easily and there no open outlets anyway. You get just one outlet on the desk lamp, so if you have to charge up your phone/s, iPad, or use your laptop, you'll need to move something to the exterior wall outlet, but then that only has one available outlet, too. Our main reason for staying at this hotel for two nights was so our kids could use the recreational activities. Maybe if we hadn't stayed there on a Friday & Saturday night, it wouldn't have been as busy as it was, but we could never use any of the volleyball or basketball courts because they were always full. No complimentary breakfast. Finally, the check-out time is 11:00. The earliest I've ever seen before and I've stayed at well over a hundred different hotels. This place is just not worth the price.

Needed two rooms, one with early check in which we did not get and did not get our second room until 8:00 pm. We were to be called when the rooms were ready but never received any call. I continually checked with the front desk for availability or I may still be sitting waiting. Had to get staff to open the patio door to the pool as it was jammed, that took 2 staff to get it operational. My phone would not call the front desk-static only. My coffee pot was non-functional. The two rooms I had were the worst location possible as the playground equipment was right out side my door and the noise up to 10:30 was unbearable. The staff should better inform of location while booking.
Pools and kid zone are great but can't one hot tub and pool be adult only?

We love spending New Years Eve at the Holidome~Holiday Inn in St Cloud. The staff does an amazing job. I'm always amazed when I wake up and see how clean the hotel is after the celebrations at midnight. Our family loves all the activities~basketball, volleyball, ping pong, swimming etc...I would recommend this property to any family that has small kids all the way to teenagers. I have teenagers and they have a blast with all the sports!

First off, the hotel is immense especially for St. Cloud, MN. There are 5 pools, indoor volleyball, a nice fitness center, and video arcade. I am sure during the summer this place is packed.
I was up there for work and it felt rather desolate. I was in a suite which is a fair walk from the front desk. On the walk, there was definite construction visible.
My issues with the hotel were three things.
- My key card initially did not work. I did the long walk back to the desk and was told that the battery in the lock was probably dead and was moved to a different room.
- One of the beds was dirty. I wound up sleeping on the other. I did not want to do the walk again.
- Lastly, for a suite the shower is tiny. I am 6'3", 230 lbs. I could barely turn around in there, let alone soap myself.
I did try the car and the restaurant. The restaurant food was good and the service was great.

We have stayed at this hotel many times before and always enjoyed our stay at The Holiday Inn. This visit was bad from the second we walked in the door at check in. We arrived hours after check in and the room we reserved was not ready for us. The staff put us in a loud and exposed pool side room. We ordered room service and received sub-par food with very low quality. The ceiling in the common area was leaking, a few video games were out of order and the pools were freezing. The best part of our visit was the friendly bartender at Legends. We will not visit again.

When we called to reserve pool side rooms we told the person that we needed a suite and an adjoining room for 2 nights, like we have done for the past 6 years because of small children. We have never had a problem. This year however when we arrived we were told that the first night we would not be able to have an adjoining room to the suite. We came from 60 miles away and were not happy to hear this. I specifically confirmed, twice, that we would have no problem with the rooms once we arrived. After much discussion with the hotel staff they were able to give us the suite with an adjoining room that was not poolside. Which was fine with us even though we had to pay the same price as a pool side room for 2 nights. What I did not understand was, why was the poolside room that adjoined the suite given out for the night we needed it (and they did not rent the suite along with it), because there were at least 3 other poolside, identical rooms, on this same floor.
The staff was excellent in helping us and I do apologize for being upset.

I booked three rooms here so my entire family could enjoy the amenities the hotel had to offer. The service from Riley at check in was amazing! From providing us with extra room keys, giving us a map and telling us where the best place to park and access the elevators was, and as a rewards club member I got a drink voucher for each of the rooms to use at Legends bar and grill. His service was awesome.
The only issue we had at check in was that the bathroom trash in one of the rooms hadn't been emptied, but I called the front desk and they had that taken care of within 5 minutes.
This stay was perfect for the 7 Adults and my 4 and 6 year old nephews. They had a great time in the pools and massive play areas.
The morning before checkout we had breakfast in Legends Cafe and the service from Britney was very good. She did an wonderful job of accommodating our group.
Due to how well this place is set up for family gatherings it is probably not an ideal setting for travel weary or business travelers as you can expect lots of kids running around making noise, and lots of large groups gathering in the atriums. However, if you are looking to hosting a gathering for a group of people with any kids you won't find a better location.

I used to live in this area until about 26 years ago and at that time the Holiday Inn was much smaller. I was not aware that the hotel had increased in size! I would have liked to use the hot tub, but the water had a "yellow" look which was not appealing. My experience was OK, but I will not stay there again as I prefer a smaller venue and a free continental breakfast. The waitress that served us in the morning for breakfast was outstanding!!

We have never had a bad experience with staff at a Holiday Inn before staying here.
After driving 12 hours through terrible weather, we arrived at the hotel around 10:30 pm. My father-in-law reserved the room for us on his credit card and intended to pay the full amount. When my husband went in to get the room the person at the front desk, Sean (or maybe Shawn), told him they would not charge my father-in-law's card because he was not present with us and demanded that we pay it.
We explained that we have stayed at many Holiday Inns before under his card and have never once had an issue (he insists on paying when we visit plus he likes to use his rewards account). He once again refused to run the card. After a few minutes of discussion, he finally said that there is way they can honor it, that we'd have to fax or email a form for my father-in-law to sign. By now it's nearly 11 pm and we are forced to call and wake a 70 year old man to check his email.
My husband called his father and explained the situation and things got started with the emailing back and forth. At 11:05 Shawn leaves saying his shift is over, even though we aren't finished with this form. He leaves and tells the other person behind the counter to take it over without explaining anything (I do not remember his name). This new person has no idea what is going on or how to do it so he keeps going in the back and asking someone there how to do it. That person refused to come out, instead shouting instructions to him and forcing him to go back and forth trying to figure things out.
Meanwhile, I and my children are still waiting in the car. They are overtired and crying by this time, begging to go in and sleep. I am also near tears, overwhelmed by exhaustion of the day. Finally at 11:30 my husband comes out with room keys.
I understand if this is a standing policy with Holiday Inn, but it needs to be clearly stated on the website and strictly enforced across the board. For years we have stayed at various HI under my father-in-law's card number that he booked online (we even have the same last name) and never once has any of them ever required a form or even questioned us. In addition, the behavior of Shawn was unprofessional, especially leaving in the middle of the transaction and making someone else do it that had no idea of the situation.
Other than this issue, as always, Holiday Inn provided us with a very comfortable bed, clean linens and a nice room. We were pleased in every other area of service.

Before I checked in someone had moved the fridge. There was peanuts and other dirt there. It had not been vacuumed very well. I did not complain but notified the desk upon my checkout.
Otherwise my stay was great!

Unfortunately we were next to a room where the people decided to let their children scream and bang around the room until very late at night and with the TV on as well. They did turn the TV down later on, but it still disturbed us as we could hear it thru the thin walls.
