Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Internet and service. Do not stay at this hotel if you need internet. The internet is questionable and the staff is rude if you tell them you don't have internet in your room. (I gwas told there was some flooding and still issues because of it.....and this is my problem?) If you like to fight for a promised service that is not delivered upon this may be a good spot for you. The hotel is undergoing construction and a 4x4 might be the right selection to get into the hotel parking lot. September 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and Attentive Staff and Wonderful Rooms Accommodated checking in early as one of us was ill. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Willing to help and assist. Room was large and had a wonderful view of Signal Hill. Everything was very clean. Had good breakfasts and a lunch and drinks in lounge. While there was construction going on outside you could not hear it in the room. September 17, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service and rooms, but bad internet and boring food We stayed there for 10 days and the room was nice and service was good, but we did not have any good intertnet, cuting out all the time. The breakfast also got boring after staying for 10 days, we did not go for breakfast after 6 days because it was all the same and not much different in the serving. Price was good and all over a good Hotel and it is central and OK. September 1, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff When I arrived (Approximately one hour early) my room was not ready because of the hotel being very busy. The lady on the desk was very helpful but did not think anythong could be done. She contacted house keeping and said I would have to wait, She was very concerned that I was unhappy. She acually got me in a room within 5 mins which was great. I have to say I wish I knew her name because she was all about the service and keeping the customer happy! August 25, 2014

It is close to my meeting locations and provides easy access to the airport - less than 10 mins. It is also a great location for business meetings for any size group. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service but dirty room. The pet rooms are very convenient and I have never had any issues with a room at the hotel before. However, every surface in the room was sticky and dirty, the desk, the nightstand, the TV stand and table. And the inside of the fridge was not the cleanest. The top of the coffee maker was full of coffee stains, there were dust webs between the long mirror and walls, curtains were full of dust and other guests hair was in the bathroom. Luckily I had some Lysol wipes with me. Staff at the hotel were excellent and the two meals at the restaurant were perfect. August 22, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel for an Overnight Stay I checked into this hotel late after arriving at St. John's airport. I was very satisfied with the attention given to IHG elite members. I paid for the hotel with award points form my account, and was even upgraded to the executive floor. I was also offered bonus points to my account and a 'VIP' amenity plate was waiting in the fridge when I arrived. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the water pressure in the bathroom is amazing. I could even see signal hill from my bedroom window. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any visitor wishing to stay in budget conscious accomodations. St. John's downtown is close by car, but definitely too far to walk. I'd also reccomend the restaurant for those visiting--the restaurant is open late #the bar a little later# and the service is fantastic. August 19, 2014

An email previous to my arrival would have been considerate I am planning to return to St. John's for an extended stay for business in September along with other co workers. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Power Outage from 9am to 2pm?? I think the title says it all. With a family of 4 (2 small kids) having to be up and ready prior to 9am on the last day of our vacation was not a happy ending (stayed Aug12th). Plus there was no option for a warm breakfast. I understand the requirement to have a scheduled power outage, it was probably out of the control of the hotel, but what I didn't understand is why we were not notified during the online reservation process. Having this knowledge we would have never booked the room at this hotel under those circumstances. Also we weren't informed by the front desk staff during check-in, it was only when we read the notification bulletin we learned about the outage. When we questioned the front desk staff about a discount due to the situation, the response was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. It was not a nice experience. August 18, 2014

As well as the staff at the restaurant. If I were to go back it would only because of the friendly staff. I will be returning in 2 months. I have time to shop around. August 16, 2014

The hotel itself was quiet even with all the weddings that were going on during our stay. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly .
