This is the only hotel that I stay in when I am in St.Louis.
Great hotel and outstanding staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to St.Louis.

Love the new decor! Now if they's replace those air conditioner units that come on/go off ALL NIGHT. Be nice if the fan would stay on to help buffer the highway noise. Other than that - I'll continue to come back to this property.

We only booked this room because of the location so were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the whole building! It was so nice to have two double beds too! And the staff were really friendly and helpful.

As always my stay was awesome. The young man at the front desk was very nice and got us checked in quickly. I always try to stay here when I go see the Cardinals play. Great location and it's easy to get to the ballpark.

I had called ahead and also asked at the front desk at check-in about a refrigerator in the room. I was told both times that some rooms had them and some didn't. I needed it for 2 types of insulin that needs refrigeration. They told me to request it at check-in. They told me the room that they gave us had one. It was the furthest room in the hotel from the main entry and did not have one.
I am also on oxygen and that room was way too far for me to go back and forth from. We were there for a wedding- so I could not go back and forth to the reception because of the distance.
The room was very clean and accommodating otherwise. We did bring a small cooler for my meds, just in case. When we needed ice though, which was outside our door- it was malfunctioning and had to go to another floor.

First when placing reservation no one asked for my priority club # so i did not get any points. Arrived for conference 6/7/2013. Check in was fine, the room was clean, bed comfortable. NO microwave or fridge. You should really consider adding these to rooms or offer for an additional price. You have snacks and food you can buy and microwave in the lobby but no microwave in the room or lobby to cook it. Next, I was going to be in meetings all morning so to save time I hung the Quick Start breakfast on the door knob of my room as it stated before 3am so my husband and I could have breakfast delivered to our room. When it did not come at 8:15am Saturday morn as I requested I looked on the door and it was still there, no one picked it up. I called the front desk, they said someone would be up to pick it up 9:00am still no one. I did not have time to wait any longer. I took the door hanger menu to the front desk and said no one ever came and I don't have time now I'm in meetings till noon. This set the tone for the rest of my stay. They said they would give me a free breakfast the next morning but I had to be on the road and did not have time, plus they slipped the bill under my room door without any mention of the free breakfast. They should have at the moment I told them given me a free breakfast or even dinner slip. I will never stay here or any other holiday inn. I did eat dinner in the restaurant Saturday evening with my daughter the food was excellent and the bartender was great and very professional. There was also a wedding party that had food and beer set up in the lobby like it was their living room, limiting seating for other guests on Saturday afternoon..

Arrived at the hotel and we could tell it was dated even though they had done renovations. The first room we were put into there was a view of the roof so we asked for another room. The 2nd room part of the wallpaper in the corner was peeling off and you could see water damage behind it. Our 3rd room they gave us was better but it had no microwave or fridge in it like the previous 2 rooms. The girl at the front desk had no problem switching our rooms and was helpful. The bathroom didn't have a vent/fan so it got steamy in there. Overall the hotel and room was ok, probably won't stay there again though. Also no continental breakfast, most Holiday Inn's that we have stayed in have a continental breakfast and not a little breakfast buffet that costs $11.00 per person.

With the remodeling completed it is a great improvement to the lobby/entrance area. Clean neat and bright.
I did not use the breakfast/bar area, but would comment that the music is loud in the evenings.
Lighting on the East side parking lot could be updated. very dark in areas. I did see security at this hotel which made me feel safer about parking in this area.
The room was clean and comfortable. A few things show there age, but were very clean. Flat screen TV was a good size and had adequate channels.
The pillows are my biggest complaint. If you want a soft pillow, good luck. I asked for a softer pillow or a feather pillow. Was told they did not have any.
Now the good part. I keep going back to this hotel because you could not find a better staff of people anywhere. They are always friendly and helpful.

I have family in the South Saint Louis area, so I purchased this hotel on Living Social thinking, I'll probably use it sometime. Little did I know, I would NEED to head to Saint Louis the next week. This was my first visit to this hotel, but hopefully it will not be my last! I checked in on a Wednesday night, which is apparently when they have live music in the bar/dining area. Although the noise from the area made it difficult for the front desk staff to answer phone calls, and some things had to be repeated, the place had a nice upbeat atmosphere.
The room was clean and comfortable. No complaints there. I second an earlier post that the pillows tend to be on the large side. As someone who likes a soft, squishy pillow, this took a little adjusting.
I had breakfast in the dining room. There is a cold and a hot side and I felt it was clearly marked. The price seemed on par for hotel dining rooms although selections were not extensive. The service was not stellar, but it was adequate. I had to ask for a water and then to flag down the waitress to have it refilled.
I was much impressed by the business center area. After realizing I rushed out of work without my laptop cord, and desperately needing to work, I went down to use the hotel provided computers. They were fast, well maintained and quite efficient. I was able to work for several hours, and the front desk even supplied some extra printer paper.
I gave it a 5/5 stars for value because between the Living Social voucher and being a Priority Club member, I felt that this was an EXCELLENT value.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others staying in the area. The combination of entertainment and business amenities make it a great choice for the busy traveler.

We stayed for a family wedding and the hotel hosted the reception. The food at the reception was really good and the staff was all very friendly. The staff was great and accommodating, especially when we burned through three room keys after they would mysteriously stop working.
The staff was never rude, even the security staff when the wedding guests would stay in the bar area right up until they politely kicked us out. Their patience with our drunk crew was very appreciated.
The room was nice and clean, my fiancee's only complaint is the pillows don't fit her comfort, despite the fact Holiday Inn claims that the variety of firm and soft in the room are adequate. I will say that the hotel says they offer other pillows but my fiancee just brought hers from home so I can't say that those wouldn't have sufficed.
All in all it was a great weekend and we all had a good time. The breakfast offered in the restaurant was pricey and the staff wasn't super good at acknowledging which side is hot and cold so you could easily end up being upcharged.
Lastly, the hotel isn't located super close to downtown which is why I marked Location as a con. If you are expecting to be a short ride from downtown like Busch Stadium, The Landing or the Arch, all that is a good 20 minute+ interstate jaunt away.
Those are my only complaints about it though, a very nice place to host a big party.

we held a small block of rooms for my family for the occasion of my son's wedding. We were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful and pleasant especially Michael and Olga who assisted us with breakfast. While the food was just average, their service was so good that we didn't care about anything else.
The weekend was great and the staff helped us build lasting memories. Thank you all!

The remodeling is a great improvement. Upon entrance you have
the feeling of being in a first-class facility. My suggestion for
improvement would be in the dining area. The instructions about
the breakfast plan were confusing. The offerings were limited for a
$11 buffet. The area needed to be divided from the lobby area.
A glass partition? A row of large plants? The tables were too near
the food table. All-in-all the breakfast was the one detraction from
an otherwise good stay.
When the occasion arises I would return.

From the beginning of the wedding planning, Angelia the Banquet Manager, made it easy and simple. Once we booked it, almost everything was complete. The Cake, Music, Food, Bar, Room and a Bridal Boutique.
Everyone made us feel so welcome and with the New Remodel, it was just breathtaking.
We were able to go to a cake tasting and food sampling on what we decided to go with. Chef Harry made us feel so special and the food was definitely amazing.
We heard nothing but compliments on the venue, food and how nice everyone was at the reception.
I want to thank everyone from Chef Harry, Angelia, to the front desk who made sure there was champagne and a cheese tray in the room.
I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn South County!

This hotel is very nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool area and fitness center were nice to use.
Specifically, the staff at this hotel are the best that I've ever dealt with. My friend got sick the first day of our trip and we spent the entirety of our time at the hotel instead of around town like we plan. The staff were super helpful even getting us some bananas when it was late and I couldn't get out to the store. They are very friendly.
I would definitely stay here again.

We stay at this Holiday Inn when in town for family functions. Clean and comfortable. Staff is more than willing to accommodate. Located near 2 major highways in a nice safe part of St Louis South. Highly recommend.

I stay at this Holiday Inn when ever I travel home to St. Louis. The renovation of the lobby and restaurant were a big improvement. The staff was a big help to me when the airlines lost one of my bags. Thanks for your hard work. I will come back when I travel to St. Louis.

staff was not friendly - first Holiday Inn where they charged $10.00 for breakfast to Platinum member - no bottled water or snack at check in - no reference to Platinum status Entry to hallway from lobby to get to room was closed off for one entire evening. Had to go to back of hotel - up steps to entrance which was poorly lighted. Room had newer TV but was in bad need up updating. Mattresses were worn out - big sag in the middle. very poor value for the money. No newspaper in morning.

Convenient location just off of I 55. Many good restaurants nearby along with lots of shopping.
Lobby was under construction but noise was minimal in the lobby area and non existent in the room. Hotel staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
The room was very clean and brighter than most other hotels we've stayed in ---- and that's a good thing.

Even though the hotel is undergoing rennovation, the staff was excellent. The front desk clerk Rachel upgraded me to a suite and the room was great. I have stayed here numerous times over the past two years and I am treated like one of the family when I walk in. I am sure it will be even better when the remodeling is complete. The staff always go out of their way for me. I will be back.....

My family was at this location for three nights as part of a wedding party. We also had the reception at the location. With a great deal of renovation taking place, and much of the building in disarray, the staff was able to pull off a great event.
Our room was fine, the staff was awesome and most helpful, and the food for the banquet was outstanding.
