My son and I came to St. Louis to go to the Cardinals game and to Six Flags. We wanted a hotel between the two and we got it. It's almost the exact distance between the two. The rooms were clean, the cafe at the hotel had a great breakfast, and the staff was awesome. I know when we come back to St. Louis next year we will defiantly be staying here again.

The property is freshly designed, clean, beautiful, and above all, the staff is top notch. From Terron and Angela at the Front Desk, to Margy and other restaurant & room service staff, our mini vacation with kids was really fun and happy.
The pools (indoor and outdoor) were great, and it was a very pleasant experience all around. Having a shopping mall literally across the street was fun for us too. Can't wait to come back to this property!

The biggest positive of this weekend stay was the friendliness and service of all the staff at the Holiday Inn Rt 66. The hotel itself shows a bit of wear because of its age, but the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Location was nice for us and we spent a couple days in the attached bar which was also nice.

Customer service was excellent, room clean and comfortable, facility convenient but carpet in common areas in desperate need of cleaning/replacement and pool area and building exterior need cleaning / refresh.

I typically chose Holiday Inn Express for overnight stays and extended stays but this one left me reconsidering my choice. While the staff and service was excellent-courteous and professional at all times, the actual hotel was a bit sketchy. When you enter the hotel, you're greeted with the sound of the revolving doors which remind me of a jumbo hamster wheel, producing an ungodly screeching noise. In fact the other 3 members of my party remarked that they would want to shoot themselves if they had to listen to the racket every day. Next, the elevator is sized for perhaps 2-3 average sized adults with a minimal amount of luggage. The carpet was clearly outdated and looked questionable, prompting one of the guests make a firm decision to keep her shoes on at all times whenever they came in contact with the floor. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal; the tv, although clearly udpated, sat on the desk because they still haven't upgraded the entertainment center' they was no glassware of any kind in the bathroom; the hair dryer was substandard and the mini fridge smelled musty. The mini fridge, by the way, which we reserved a month prior, had to be requested via a call to the front desk along with a request for extra pillows. While the mini - fridge made it right up to our room, the pillows had to be requested again, almost 8 hours later when we returned from a night out. Finally, no free continental breakfast was offered.

Despite the untimely circumstances surrounding my visit, my week stay at the Holiday Inn on Route 66 and enjoyable. The management, hostesses, maids and dinning staff were remarkable and friendly. There efforts to go above and beyond their duties to ensure my stay was comfortable, relaxing and fullfilling were generous and were much appreciated by me.
Their dinning accommadations were excellant and while my diet was rigerous and demanding their chef was able to accommodate all my requirements. The dinning management offered a healthy and enriching selection of foods and were conscientious and supportive of my needs.
Thank you again for all your support during my stay. I look forward to revisting the Saint Louis area and will definitely stay at your hotel.

I am a travel agent, so I was surprised that management allowed any of this to happen. When we checked in, we were told that there would be a "bike" function going on in the parking lot that evening 8/14/13. But not to worry, because the bikers were all doctors and lawyers. We left the property at about 1 pm and did not get back until 9 pm. There were over 500 motorcycles in the parking lot, and there was no way they were all doctors and lawyers. Not that that really mattered. However, the continual reving up the motors and running the cycles up and down Watson (which ran in front of our room) was very irritating. Finally, we were able to go to sleep to the sound of bike engines. Then at 2ish in the morning, we were awoken to several men in the hall partying. My husband called the front desk. At some point, when the front desk sent some one up, a couple of the guys starting screaming at the top of their lungs, as if to wake everyone up since we called the front desk. We complained about it to the front desk the next morning, speaking to a young lady named Ebony. She said she would talk with her manager. We left for the day, as we were in town visiting family member in the hospital. When we came back to our room that evening, there was a very nice note of apology and a small gift basket. Considering the bike convention, which we were not warned about BEFORE we arrived, I would have liked to have been comped one night's room rate. As a travel agent, I cannot believe the management did not alert guests before they arrived.

One of the best kept secrets in St Louis area. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, good restaurants close by and in the hotel. Very family-friendly. We loved our mini-vacation there!

Most Holiday Inns are very nice, convenient, nice. This one disappointed us. The previous one gave us a "care" package for being ihg members, this one didn't even acknowledge we were. No fridge in the room, asked about it, was told we could rent one for $5 - but alas, none were available. Was told no breakfast included, of any kind. Dinner ... there was a bikers bar attached to it, you can eat there - uh, no I have a 7 year old child with me. Did try the restaurant out - sat for 10 minutes no service and left.

We stayed on site in the hotel as this was also the location of a reunion we were attending. The staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and especially during the event itself - I think they had as much fun as we did!
The hotel itself and the rooms are in need of a few updates - a breaker was flipped about the same time we visited the indoor hot tub spa, the entry revolving door could use some WD40, and the room bathroom could use a fan to help with the humidity from the showers, but the beds were comfortable and clean, and the room felt spacious enough for the 3 guests that shared the room.
I even left an item behind, and the staff was very courteous in making sure that the item was returned safely home!

We were unable to get into our bathroom because of a broken doorknob & lock. The night staff was unable to help so we eventually got our own tools and removed the doorknob in the middle of the night. The staff made no additional effort to fix the problem so we had no doorknob the rest of our say. We were not compensated for the inconvenience.

Stayed two nights recently. The room was clean, comfortable and well supplied. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful.
Attended an event in their conference center. The venue was more than satisfactory and the attending staff were very friendly.

We appreciated the Holiday Inn staff. We had booked nights at anothe hotel down the street and were very dissatisfied and Holiday Inn was able to get our family ajoining rooms in a short notice and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

This property is a little rough around the edges but the staff is fantastic! Our room was comfortable, had a beautiful new TV, and was very clean. The bathroom was nice and well appointed. We stayed two nights and had no issues. The hotel is close to a lot of food options (walking distance) plus there is a fun restaurant on site. We used the banquet facilities and found the staff to be really great, fun bar tenders, friendly smiles, always willing to help.
I understand that the hotel is getting a make over and updates - it did look like there was a move in the right direction. As it is, we were happy with our service and treatment - the staff more than made up for the slightly worn appearance.

The bed was comfortable. The furnishings were marginal. The bathroom was extremely tiny. There are many other hotels at great prices and don't feel compelled to stay there again.

The hotel was great and the front desk staff was really great and helpful to deal with. However, when we arrived, there were three hotel staff members that were sitting outside which appeared to be for a break and they kept looking at us as we were gathering our belongings from our car. A little while later when a couple of my kids and I went to our car again, they same three staff members were still sitting outside and the female said quite loudly "Oh look, they're back!"
This made our experience quite awkward as I was traveling alone with my four children. I just thought this was VERY unprofessional and could have been avoided. I realize people do things sometimes that are not in the best interest of their employer, and unfortunately, this was surely one of those moments. This experience would make me hesitant to return to this location.

It was a good hotel for staying few days on the weekend. The staff was nice and helpful. The blow dryer did not work at first. I had to hit the reset on the outlet to get it to work. The mattresses were uncomfortable for me to sleep on.

This Express was convenient to the highway in and out. However, it is in need of lots of updates and repairs. Only one elevator worked all the time; the other seldom. The entrance door was a revolving one that made screeching noises all the time it turned - which was almost constant. The bathtub was slippery and the mattress harder than usual. The staff was friendly and helpful; however, I doubt we would revisit this Express unless it is updated, which the front desk indicated was in the works. This particular Express was not up the usual Holiday Inn standards.

For an equivalent price, we could have had a larger room with some key perks. Need to add in-room microwave, refrigerator, and flat screen TV, to be able to compete. Room size was too small, and just three of us were bumping into each other to go from desk to luggage and bath. Hotel doors, elevators and floors were a bit run down, and hotel restaurant was hard to find.
Positives: Great staff, pool area, and conference center looked good (didn't use it). It was also a great location for us - convenient to and from the soccer complex.
For the price, I'll probably choose another chain for this location.

This Holiday Inn shows its age but is clean and taken care of. Rooms are small compared to newer Holiday Inns. More then two guest in a regular room is a bit much. The breakfast was not bad bit not good either same as the service.

Our room was dirty. I attempted to call the front desk but I was not able to because the phone in the room did not work. I was very surprised early in the morning by staff entering the room. I announced my self and went back to sleep after locking the door so no one else could enter. Around an hour later I was awakened again by staff attempting to enter the room. This happened around 830 am. I definitely will NOT be staying there again!
