Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and easy parking We had an event in the adjacent River Center only a block away and really appreciated the convenient location of the hotel. Fantastic view. There was a hockey game Saturday night and things were hectic and loud in the surrounding bars on the street until very late. We also had the lightbulb go out in the bathroom and had to improvise with other lights on our final morning. Staff was friendly and parking was easy and convenient. We'd stay again, but would check the hockey/event schedule next time. April 19, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Good location I wish I could have stayed longer at this well-located hotel in lovely St. Paul. The convenient and friendly shuttle service was a real plus. The only drawback is that the beds were only double-size, but otherwise very comfortable. The Liffey was a great choice for a reception. April 12, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very accommodating I came with my young daughter who had a doctor appointment. we arrived in the middle of tons of people checking in to go to a Rhianna concert. the staff put us on a different floor and we never heard a thing with all the people coming and going. The front desk staff were great and the lady who cleaned our room left an animal towel. Our room was very nice and very clean. March 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Downtown night out Upon arrival, the parking attendant was very helpful in finding a parking space. The front desk clerk made sure all our needs were attended to and the shuttle driver dropped off and picked up right at the doors so we never got wet. Over all, those three people made the stay an excellent one. The room was clean and comfortable, exactly what we expected it to be. One thing that could make it better is free parking. March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room and stay I gave just a good on the room and comfort because I felt the pillows were very small and uncomfortable for sleeping. Good thing I always travel with my own. Overall stay was great even with a pro hockey game going on one night and a concert the next night. With people all over the place I had no problems with noise, getting an elevator, etc. Only ate breakfast at the attached restaurant twice and it was delicious. Best pancakes I ever had. The hotel is quiet. The beds and pillows are wonderful!. There is parking at the hotel. The staff are courteous and helpful. This is our second time back and I plan to use this hotel in the future. Very happy with the convenience of hotel, attached Liffy restaurant/bar as well as several other "watering holes" nearby. Only complaint was construction early Tues. morning 7:00 am. Not what moms, who never get away want to hear on a rare opportunity to sleep in. Some others must have complained because it stopped about 7:30. March 10, 2013

The room was clean, food was great and parking was reasonable for the area. Our older son decided to join us that night and they even allowed us to have an extra car in the lot under our room. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Go to hotel for hockey games This hotel is our go to hotel for Wild Hockey Games. Located directly across the street from the Xcel Energy Center it couldn't be more convenient. The Liffy Irish Pub which is attached has a great happy hour and good food for after the game. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have extra security on event nights, although we have personally never had need of the security as the hotel is very quiet. Parking is convenient and has in/out privileges. We consider it to be a good bargain for a downtown hotel. February 5, 2013

The only complaints I'd have is the room is quite small and they make you pay for parking in the hotel ramp. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Hotel This is a very good hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to downtown Saint Paul. The restaurant that is part of the property is also quite good (only complaint is they don't open until 7am for breakfast.) My only concern about the hotel is that the indoor exercise equipment is limited and in marginal condition. The treadmills are probably OK for a walker, but inadequate for a runner - way to much vibration and instability. I usually run outdoors when I travel, but sometimes the Saint Paul winters make this difficult to do. January 15, 2013

Staff was welcoming and friendly, rooms were clean and updated, pool was actually warm enough to avoid frostbite unlike most hotels, room service breakfast was on time and food was what we expected. Parking was quick and easy. The hotel is perfect walking distance to several bars and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again. January 6, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed! My son left his 3DS game on the bed and I do not feel that the hotel staff handled the situation appropriately. First, the head of housekeeping informed me that this device was not found. No apologies, no real explanation, just that it hasn't been located. When I called back to speak to the Manager on Duty, she too, did not seemed overly concernded, nor apologized. She indicated that my room hadn't been used since my departure, so she would have the room checked again and also check in with the laundry area because I indicated that my son played with his 3DS that morning in bed until the battery ran out. It has been 5 days since I reached out to management and am VERY DISAPPOINTED that I have not received a call back. With all of the hotel options available, I will look to another provider for future travel needs that will have a better customer satisfaction approach. November 23, 2012

Check-in was a breeze and the staff was so pleasant and "human" - The room was CLEAN and WELL-MAINTAINED - thank you housekeeping and maintenance! The Irish Pub had great food and service - nice touch for a St. Paul hotel! We will be back! November 13, 2012

Forgot an item in the room and the staff was very accommodating in helping get it returned to me. Only complaint was that the food service in the adjoining restaurant was extremely slow.
