Was very pleased with this hotel. The best we've visited in the Statesboro area.

Excellent hotel and a good value. The only change I see would be a free continental breakfast like other hotels in this class. I typically don't have time to sit, order, etc.

My college age daughter and I stayed here before her move-in day, plus I stayed an extra day to sight-see at Tybee Island. My car was secure with all of her dorm-room stuff loaded in the car overnight. The room and bathroom was very clean and quiet. It was easy to adjust the thermostat. I didn't have any problems, but one other customer did and the gentleman at the desk took care of the problem himself even though they were short a person. I was very impressed with his quick and courteous response to the other customer and was still able to check me in a timely manner. The wait staff at the restaurant were all nice and attentive, and didn't ignore me when I was by myself. This hotel was very relaxing and a secure place to stay at. I will be coming back here or the one in Pooler for college visits.

I travel quite frequently with my job, and my hotel preference has always been Holiday Inn, and it will always be Holiday Inn except when I travel to Statesboro, GA.
The blonde-haired young lady at the front desk does a very poor job at showing customer appreciation, and seems to have a poor attitude. I have stayed at the Statesboro Holiday 2 times now within the last 2 months (4 days ea. time), and I have had the horrible experience of being checked in by this person on both occasions. The first time, I just wrote it off as maybe she's had a bad day, but on this 2nd time, it was completely unsatisfactory.
It was a busy time of the day and several people were checking in, I was asked to be checked in by a gentleman that clearly was new on the job (training under the young lady). He kept having troubles, and would ask for her help, she answer real quick in a frustrating voice, rolling her eyes, and go back to what she was doing. This happened on 4 separate occasions, and then when I was handed the confirmation sheet, everything was incorrect (Price, number of days, bed size, and did not have my IHG rewards number). When I brought it to his attention, he asked for her help, again in frustration, she comes over, reverses everything out and then tells him to re-enter all of my infomation. During all of this, she has not once acknowledged my presence, and I asked if she would please go ahead and get me checked in, she just looked at me, and went back to her PC helping other guests. I literally stood at the desk getting checked in for 35 minutes while I watched 7 other people who were behind me get checked in.
I know people have to train at the job, and I understand that situation, but I definitely would not have this person training one of my new employees if this is the level of satisfaction you are giving your customers.
Something I learned many years ago is: A smile and good attitude goes a LONG way.

The hotel looks great on the outside as well as on the inside. The cleanliness is very well kept to a premium. The whole fit and finish of the hotel is quite nice. I really enjoyed my stay here. The only issue I experienced was the lack of USB ports (non existent) in the room. I could not charge my cell phone while in the room.

This hotel offered everything I was looking for. It was clean and new. The staff was friendly. The only thing I would have like was free breakfast. Most hotels I stay at offer a free breakfast, this one had a restaurant to eat at and I didn't have time for that.

The hotel was loud and it sounded like they were playing a basketball game in the rooms around and above me. This went on at all hours including 2-3AM. When I contacted the front desk they said they would take care of it but nothing changed.
Very uncomfortable stay and very expensive for that kind of experience.
