Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great relaxing place to stay when traveling. We stopped half way to a wedding destination to break the trip. After a day of driving, we found welcome, rest, good food, and a renewing night of sleep at this hotel. The staff was wonderful, from the moment we entered reception. Our room was ready early so we didn't have to wait. The food and service at the restaurant was just right. We enjoyed both the pool and the exercise room, watched TV on the big screen in our room, checked email in our room, and felt renewed from the trip. All in all, we wish that every hotel stay were as good as this one was for us. September 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff I can't say enough about the kind, attentive behavior of Megan. I arrived at the hotel around 7:30pm on 9/4/14... I was totally exhausted having driven from South Carolina with my two small dogs and then got lost when I got to Staunton. I was on the verge of tears and my dogs were whining as they're usually fed by 5pm each day. Megan came up to the 3rd floor, unloaded my car, delivered dog beds/coolers/suitcase etc to my room and totally calmed me down with her kind demeanor. Her kindness will always be remembered. Before I retired I was a sales manager at a TV station in Florida... I would have hired her in a minute..she's just the kind of employee that companies want. September 27, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed but the restaurant was not up to par as usual We enjoyed our stay overall. We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times over the past 8 years. We were disappointed that the restaurant only had a buffet on Saturday morning and we could not order off the menu. We were also disappointed on Friday night when we sat in the restaurant to have a drink and ask for peanuts, pretzels or chips and were told by the waitress that there was a vending machine in the lobby. I ask how long you been working her. The waitress answered was two months. The staff was friendly enough but we missed our girl Marcia who generally greets us at the front desk. I know hotels how a bad day once in a while so I hope this is not the trend. Being a HCI Platinum Member I expected more. September 23, 2014
