Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Major problems with Air Conditioner I have stayed on this property in the past and never had a problem. Then, I believe it changed to another name, and now has switched back. I usually stay in Waynesboro Holiday Inn and have no problems. I like that area, and the restaurants are OK. I was entertaining a client in downtown Staunton,and didn't want to drive the distance to Waynesboro. Since it was around 10:45, when I checked in I thought the a/c was naturally turned down, to save money. My room was at least 80 degrees, and I did everything to make the room cooler. Now by this time, I knew the only solution was another room, so I toughed it out. I explained this on my way out and was told that, they would add a few points on my Priority Club account. That never happened and it was a night from Hades. Don't stay here, go to Waynesboro instead. August 26, 2013

Tucked away in the hills of the Shenandoah mountains, it is a very peaceful and pretty setting. The staff was superb and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you! August 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by On Point My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel. Checking in was very easy, the staff courteous and the room fulfilled both our needs. (If anything, the AC was *too* good...not complaining, mind you, but man, that thing practically froze the room...the lady loved it!) Breakfast was as awesome as the morning staff, who constantly kept checking up on us for refills, seconds, etc. Really didn't need cable so the basic channels were good enough for us. Overall, you folks did great and we would highly recommend it to our friends! Thank you, thank you, thank you! August 16, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Average The night check in cleck was friendly, helpful and made eye contact. Day clerks were bored and unengaged. Food and Beverage folks were friendly and engaging. Food was average. Room cleaners were horrible, with never showing up. The quality service manager was equally worthless, as when she came by (standing in the hallway and never inspecting the room) said, I'm here to verify that your room was cleaned and everything is satisfatory. I told her the cleaners never came to clean (even though I was gone from 9am - 3pm). As it was too late for a makeup of the room, I asked for new towels, which came some two hours later. No refrigerator in room. The ice machine was only working in a couple areas and vending machines were out of order as well. July 21, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The BEST Holiday Inn AROUND! I have a special needs child. I picked him up from Camp Easter Seals in New Castle VA and instead of making the 4 hour drive back home, we decided to stay here because last year we did a family vacation to the caverns and stayed here and had a great experience. This trip it was just me and my son. He is 15, but is only on about a 5 year level. EVERY staff member was wonderful and treated him ilke a VIP, from check-in, to house keeping, to the restaurant staff. They also have an indoor pool that leads to an outdoor pool, Jonathan LOVED it. When I made the reservations, they did NOT book us in a handicapp room, but at check-in they had no problem fixing that! It was the best hotel stay ever!!!! July 6, 2013

Bottle of water and a snack bar a nice touch for being a Rewards Club member. HD television but without HD content. Weird. Even weirder that it's not that unusual in hotels. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just a minor problem or two,. Otherwise great. Beautiful golf course view. Loved having resturant on site. Also being able to include breakfast amt. in stay cost. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to Harrisonburg and Lexington and Hot Springs. Lots of stuff to do in Staunton as well. Room clean. Bath closet size, exhaust fan old and very dirty. Not enough flat space for bags, and just places to put stuff on surfaces. This was one of 3 HIs on trip and those pillows that were once so great are now lumpy at this and other 2 locations. No time for pool but sure did look inviting. All in all a great stay and will probably return when next in area. July 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Facilities Lost elevator power/access to sixth floor in the evening. I am a handicapped person. Lost water pressure to the third floor alternate room, resulting in essentially no toilet and bathroom capabilities until we were checking out from the room. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by room condition The room did not appear to be recently renovated. It was not clean and the cleaning staff was still working on our floor at 5: 30PM. We lost power during the night, not necessarily the fault of the hotel. Power was restored during the night, but we had no water in the morning. The response from the front desk was to offer bottled water and inform us that they had called back the service crew that had been there earlier. Altogether not a very well managed hotel. I am a Priority Club member and have always received complimentary water and continental breakfast. At this Staunton Holiday Inn I received neither. Expected a nice hotel, but the staff was very friendly share all the amenities. We got a upgrade for the room with a balcony on the six floor. The food was good, the room was clean bed very comfortable. We will recommend this hotel with a big heart and friendly. June 15, 2013

It is in a great location, has been newly renovated, and contains beautiful restaurant that was recently rebuilt and renovated. It is a great value in a relaxing environment. June 6, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No Housekeepping Service - No Free Breakfast We were disappointed in our 3 day stay in Staunton. One day there was no housekeeping service in our room. No clean towels. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns in the last few months and have had little or no trouble. We were surpised to find no free breakfast, which for the higher price we paid for our room seemed outrageous. Even the "free coffee" was poorly displayed, no napkins, no coffee sleeves, not even coffee cup covers. I don't think that we'll be returning here the next time we visit the area. The Holiday Inn in Centerville, OH was ten times better than this Holiday Inn and the rate was lower. May 25, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our room If I could change anything at that hotel, it would be the A/C & Heat unit. The fan does not stop when the temperature is reached. IF at a minimum, the speed of the fan could slow down that would not be too windy. Secondly, if I could replace all the 50/50 polyester sheeting and mattress cover, I would do that. Thirdly, a little more volume of water from the shower would be nice. Otherwise, a great place to stay. April 26, 2013
