Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steamboat Hotel was very nice and the lady at the front desk was quick and very friendly upon check in. I would like a little more lighting around the outside of the building a safer feel for my vehicle and me. The bar/grill attached was ok. The sandwich was good but the side that came with it was horrible. Service was slow even though the waitress apologized, it seemed like there were a lot of employees running around without it being extremely busy. The room was nice - but the desk was placed right at the door when you walked in. I was trying to bring my suitcase in and the area was pretty tight. However the bathroom entrance was in a different area so the desk did not interfere with getting to the bathroom. When you sat at the desk you couldn't see the television. The logistics of the room was just a bit odd but it also had an odd design. There was a side door that evidently went into another room and those always make me nervous. Overall it was a very nice hotel and for being in a resort area very quiet. May 12, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely Bad Checkin Experience I spend 200+ days in hotels a year. I have had nothing but great experiences throughout all my stays at IHG brands until Steamboat. I checked in with Mark. He told me I had a King Suite and would be better in a Queen double since I was traveling with a coworker. I was given a Queen room with a pool view. Later, I looked at my reservation and the King suite had a pull out queen bed that would have been a better option. His attitude was very aggressive and not welcoming. When I asked him questions he gave me vague answers and seemed very unprofessional and not polite with his answers. I was rushed through checkin and was not asked for any of my Spire Elite benefits. I mentioned my bonus points after my checkin and they were added. Overall I felt was very disappointed at the way I was treated. I will continue to use IHG brands and hope this is a isolated incident. May 4, 2016

I also wish there were adjoining rooms with king beds or that the beds were queen size. Double is way too small for 2 average sized people. April 18, 2016
