Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could have offered me more...... I stayed at the holiday inn Stevenage for three nights last week. Unfortunately one night I discovered water pouring through my ceiling at 2:30am in the morning. I was found a new room fairly quickly and the staff were apologetic, but my next working day was difficult because of a disturbed sleep pattern. On reflection, if I’d have stay at a rival hotel, “a good night’s sleep guarantee” would have been used to compensate me, but on this occasion I got nothing but an apology – not even few extra points! Could be that I was unlucky with the room given and the staff on duty were not typical - but I will not be risking another stay here. As a frequent hotel user I know this is not a typical IHG hotel and will continue to use others - but not this one. January 20, 2015

My only gripes were no electric socket next to the bed to charge my phone and the room was on the cool side (January stay) Restaurant food is of a high standard, which is reflected in the price but the old saying you get what you pay for!
