we checked in to your hotel and thought the lobby was so nice, until we paid attention to the tiles that were stained and cracked. we finally got to our room (the elevator wait was forever) my mom was going to a Dr. appointment and was not able to walk up to the 5th floor so we waited. when we got into our room we were not impressed, the room had a funny smell like someone had been smoking ( I am a smoker, but I do not smoke in my home or car, so it had to be strong for me to smell it), the bathroom was tiny, and the shower had shelves that were broken off and the edges were very sharp I accidentally ran my arm against it while I was in the tub. we went to the pool to find out it closed at 10pm... it was fun swimming in the dark, they had to climb into the ceiling to turn on the lights. they did it as we were leaving. the bar/restaurant closed at 10pm as well if I wanted to eat I was to buy a frozen tv dinner for about 8 bucks or another 2,00 coke... As you can see I was very unhappy and I have not even touched on all the problems we had just the main one. I am VERY sorry I used my vacation club points staying here and I will have to rethink the whole IHG part of my club....

The hotel was new/modern. The atrium area was old school HolidayDome looking. Updated fixtures and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, we were spoiled by one of your employees named Veronica. Not only did she remember my name when I walked through the door. but she always showed how much she cared. As a Platinum member, she always upgraded us and once, when we were arriving late called my wife's cell phone to make sure we were ok because we normally checked in between 5-6 o'clock. Even more unfortunately Veronica became ill and passed away. The young lady at the front desk at our last visit has a long way to go to match Veronica's service. Please understand that whether or not we are upgraded, receive extra points etc means nothing to us. Just wanted you to know what a great employee you have lost. Our only regret is that we did not write to you when she was still alive.
