Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by totally disgusting The holiday inn in Strongsville is not a place I would ever stay at again. The entire building needs to be renovated. There is duct tape holding the carpeting together, the furniture is beyond worn and there is a smell to the building. I literally don't believe my sheets were changed. The bed smelled. The only good thing was the bar....but I couldn'ttrust it because everything else was so gross. April 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible plumbing the drainage system in the sink and the tub was horrible. It was so slow, and there were questionable hairs found floating in the water that wasn't ours. Also the drinks in the bar were too pricey. We had 2 long island iced teas and they were too sour to drink!! I would never stay or reccommend this hotel. The staff at the front desk were nice and friendly, we were not greeted as IHP guests, I had to ask. We were there for a convention, but I would reconsider attending that convention again if I had to stay at this hotel. April 14, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Renovations in progress I was awoken at 7AM to heavy construction above my room. I immediately called down to the front desk and Libby answered and told me she would look into it right away. After a few minutes it did not stop so I called again and she told me someone was on the way up to have them stop. I decided to go to the front desk and talk to a manager. Upon arriving at the front desk I asked for a manager and they told me there was not one available. Libby told me that the construction is not scheduled to start until 9AM. Being how loud it was, I was concerned about being woken up again in the same room. Libby offered to change my room. Although it was an inconvenience to pack up and move, I agreed to this in order to get some sleep. I stay here for work, as a flight crew. We arrived at 11:30PM the night before this occurred, and we were assured by Joe that the rooms we were assigned would be "far away from the construction." As I found out, this was not true, adding to my frustration. I finally had a chance to speak with a manager about the situation. The only one available before I left was from the restaurant, Carol. She assured me this would be addressed in the future. I would like to personally compliment Libby. She was extremely nice and handled my situation professionally & promptly. Even though she is not a manager, I felt she handled it better than most managers have with some of my past experiences. In addition to taking care of the problem, she also gave me coupons for breakfast and a generous dinner voucher. I stay in hotels at least 150 nights per year and I must say, Libby is a top-notch employee and a valuable asset to The Holiday Inn Strongsville. If you are concerned with the renovations here I recommend asking for a room that is not near the construction. Currently the construction is in the back wing of the hotel, so the lower room numbers (closer to the front of hotel) are better. (Eg. 401,402, etc..) April 6, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Surprise Birthday visit We were suppose to have a block of rooms for family for brother's surprise birthday party. However, we were spread out through the 4th floor. My 2 older sisters with trouble walking and I were all the way at the end of the corridor instead of near the other family members. My 1 sister made reservations early so this should not have been a problem. We assumed we were in a cluster. March 24, 2015
