This property has been renovated. However, it shows that that process never was completed. Staff was good. For the price there should have been a complementary continental breakfast included.

Since you did not respond to my initial comments about your facility and I figured as much. I now will post comments on all hockey sites that the parents are on about not using your facility. I knew by how your facility is managed no one would contact me. Most poor management ignores problems and hopes they correct themselves.

The Front desk staff is weak at best for hospitality. We were staying here for a hockey tournament and were treated poorly before ever checking in. We walked through the doors with our kids gear including sticks and you would of thought we were carrying lethal weapons. We did not make it to the desk before they begin yelling NO STICKS take the to your car now!!! Would have had no problem if they would of just let us get to the desk and explained their policy. Also had a armed police officer on duty that was less than friendly. We were in the restaurant waiting for our food we ordered and a friend of my daughters walked in with pizza and gave my daughter a slice. The police officer came directly to the table and beginning yelling at my 12 year old about no other food in the restaurant and state law dictates this and had her in tears. We have no problem following rules if they would just learn to speak to their guests properly. We actually had food coming from their facility and were just waiting for it. Frank, the manager for the restaurant, should be running the place. He did what he could but was not responsible for all the employees. There was a girl, Jess, working the front desk and was very good and willing help. However the other to girls working the front desk would roll their eyes while you spoke with them. During the night numerous calls were made to the front desk for noise in halls and nothing was done about it. I travel a lot for business and never quite experienced anything like this. This reflects heavily on poor management at this facility. I would assume I will not receive any calls or emails on this matter because their management just does not care and it shows.

Room was comfortable and clean. Check-in very quick. Pleasant staff. Excellent bar area, comfortable place to relax and unwind. I travel 20 to 25 weeks a year and the atmosphere of a hotel is important. This is one of my better experiences. thanks for a pleasant stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hockey family123 Clean rooms/but ran out of hot water
The hotel was clean and the rooms appeared to be recently redone, however the mechanics were out dated. The hotel was full the weekend we were there which caused them to run out of hot water in the mornings! That is why I gave them a 1 for room and comfort, taking a cold shower is not very comfortable. Also some of the elevators were down half the time making the stairs faster even when carrying luggage. Some of the wait staff appeared to be over whelm and frustrated at times during the busy hours of the day.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CAA baseball Nice hotel
We have stayed at this particular Holiday Inn several times over the past 5-6 years, as it is close to our family who we visit twice a year. It is a nice place, always very clean and quiet. I will clarify the "quiet" statement by saying that we've never been there when a hockey/ice skating event was going on next door, so of course, if there are a bunch of children staying there for a tournament or competition, I can't say how quiet it would be. But in general, we hear very little to no sound from the hallways or adjoining rooms. The pool is exceptionally large with a lot of seating around it (enough to gather with family and friends and a few tables), as well as an air hockey table and pool table. The pool has a very large 3 foot deep section, so it's allows for plenty of play area for smaller kids; there is also a pretty sizable 5-foot section and then a 9-foot section, too. This past visit, there was NOT a rope dividing the 3-ft from the deeper sections, though, so that was a little worrisome for us. The restaurant/bar food is fine if you need to use it - nothing special, but not bad. We have almost always stayed in the "King Jr. Suite" rooms - king bed with full-size sofa bed, frig, microwave, sink - which has a lot of open floor space, so it's easy to fit a crib or cot, or have sleeping bags for extra people, even when the sofa bed is open.
