Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New hotel, but surprises under the bed This property was under renovation and was mostly up to date. There were some areas not accessible and the fitness centre had very little equipment and some of what was there was broken. Pools was nice and warm and clean overall. However; when looking under the bed for a missing item, we were surprised to find a previous guests' clothing which made us suspicious of the level of cleaning that actually happens between guests. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable stay Very pleased with my stay. It was a little difficult to orient myself in the hotel at times, layout is somewhat complicated at times. Easy for young people but not so for a person my age. Had to ask directions a few times. Rented two rooms. Appreciated that we could communicate freely between the two. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Problems during stay I understand renovations cause issues with guests and I accept that. I also understand staff cannot do much about it. However I think the extent of the renovations were not accurately relayed upon booking with live person nor were all the issues accurately addressed otherwise I would have stayed elsewhere. We were assured pool was open, it was not until later on in the stay, no change room avail, no sauna AS ADVERTISED in many websites and Sudbury travel guide. Then when pool was finally open, toilet area was not which is not good when kids in the pool on March Break, hot tub was way too hot and unusable until temp turned down next date by staff after complaints. We were assured construction was only on upper floors 4,5 so we booked ground floor to get far away from construction noise but ended up immediately close to construction entrance and upon investigating found construction going on all floors. Room carpet dirty, bathroom clean but needs repairs, rusted metal parts etc, furniture in poor condition. Upper floors being stripped of furniture as evident by the crews dismantling said removed furniture in parking lot readying for disposal. Other annoying noises in the pipes all day/night keeping me awake like a moaning noise clearly audible in plumbing or ventilation. No wonder renovations were underway because this hotel definitely needs it. I should have stayed elsewhere but the value was great, the pillows and mattress were great but I couldn't get sleep due odd noises. Staff were friendly March 24, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Once the renovations are done it should be better The place needs work, which is being done. However, the work is being done, sometimes right over your head. The staff are really nice, and the wireless internet is great, about 10MBit/sec down. I have stayed here many times, and am glad they are fixing it up/updating stuff. March 24, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Surely not a Holiday at the Holiday Inn. Very disappointed in the rooms. Carpet was extremely dirty. Had to ask for it to be re-vacuumed. Mold in the bathroom around the tub. March 22, 2015
