Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jevives Too short bed sleeves/ duvet
It's a shame. Because the mattress quality is so good, but for reasons I don't understand (having stayed on weekdays for the last 3 months), because it's common to all rooms, duvet doesn't cover above half your breast. My size is 1.86 meters, perhaps that the reason, but never ever found this issue on any other hotel around uk, Europe and USA.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FCandido Excellent hotel for business people
A comfortable hotel for business purposes. Excellent room, even though I found the mattress too soft. Breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helpfull. Average fitness room. Food from the menu (lunch/dinner) is not great. The hotel is always crowded mainly with business people, so I don't recomend it for relax / holidays.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mrsjbfm Service hard to beat, but housekeeping needs some work
Very pleased with the property overall, and the service from all staff we encountered was cheerful and impeccable. Our only caveat is that the hotel, while very nice-looking and with a cool design, is starting to show distinct signs of wear, and housekeeping is a little spotty. I got sort of obsessed with an enormous cobweb hanging from the fire sprinkler which was never removed, and other surfaces were dusty in our room. Bottom sheet on the bed was too small and revealed a mattress cover so frayed as to be non-existent in spots, which meant the mattress itself was exposed, which makes me wonder about its cleanliness also.
Appreciated the pillow choice and the mattress itself was okay, but bedding was inadequate for the cold autumn weather, consisting essentially of one thin sheet.
I think with some sprucing up and more attention to detail this would be a better property. Loved the location.

Stayed at the Kingston South Holiday Inn whilst attending a wedding. Rooms were very well appointed. Reception staff very helpful. Fantastic air conditioning, if a little noisy, on a very hot summer night. Good food selection at breakfast and catering staff very happy to cater for your tastes. Ample car parking space.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rhino27 Friendly and Courteous Staff
We stayed for a weekend in the Quality Inn, and we could not fault it.
The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. They were really friendly and always willing to help with any query.
The room was very clean and had everything we needed. I requested an extra bed for our little boy when booking and it was all ready for us when we arrived. Also I called in advance and asked for Iron and Ironing board and it was already in the room when we arrived. The breakfast buffet was good and again the staff were always there willing to help with any request.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here many times since discovering it 18 months ago. They aim to please and do just that.
IHG Rewards status always recognised.
The welcome free wifi has some issues, it keeps disconnecting.
I wish they would open the Sky bar at the top to the public again, at least in the summer!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ProudBrit Service excellent but let down by poor lighting & breakfast
Bedroom lighting needs to be upgraded if you want to read / work. Breakfast poor due to cooked items kept warm over steam bath - bacon grey & unappetising in appearance; Of 3 items taken 2 were tasteless! Toaster ineffective. Would have like some juices "not from concentrate" . Couldn't fault the staff / attitudes

Hello, I was in need of a place to accommodate a disabled person and their carers. The booking was made very smoothly the check in helped with all our bags . The restaurant was in a great location , very pretty.
The best of all the staff interaction was great. They where very courteous and attentive of our needs and very lively.
The only thing that would be made better is the room cleaning service.
But will certainly be back for more, a very unexpectedly smooth and luxurious trip in the outskirts of London .

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Matty46 Great hotel, comfortable bed with excellent service
Although it is a bit of a walk away from the centre of Surbiton and the railway station, the hotel itself is exceptional comfortable with good service offered by the staff. It is hard to find a good hotel in London at a good price. This is definitely a good find, and I will be booking it again on my next visit.

Nice looking building, shame about the staff and service. We took my parents in law for a weekend so that they could go to the flower show....we ask for a fruit bowl to be in the room on the day of arrival for them and us but that didn't happen and when it did we had to send it bar as it was very poor
Breakfast we a mess each morning

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Billy47 Staff Good, Rooms poorly designed
Stayed whilst visiting Hampton Court Flower Show, for two nights. The room allocated, 323, is probably the pokiest hotel room I have stayed in. There was virtually no natural light and, coupled with the dark wood in the room, made it very dismal, in spite of the blazing sunshine. The bathroom had spotlights in it, which gave no light at all. It made wet-shaving a real shot in the dark. The shower had a seat for a disabled person - I don't know if that is standard.
There is no written information in the room. Any information has to be accessed via the tv, which I'm not keen on.
The staff were very efficient and pleasant. The breakfast was very good, included in the room rate. The food was replenished very quickly and service was good.
The above has been posted on Trip Advisor. The room was allocated in spite of my membership of the Rewards Club. Typically, when I booked a room for my daughter at another London hotel, for Wimbledon, she received a room upgrade, not a cupboard.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sprat Holiday Inn Kingston and Hampton Court Flower Show
Location was one a the reason we booked this hotel and also because of the Sky Bar (4th Floor) as we were going to watch the Fireworks at Hampton Court on the Premiere Night from there, to be told that the Bar now only opens for special events (nothing mentioned on the Website) - this could have been sold as a Special Event - Very Disappointed by this.
I would have also thought that the hotel would have had lots of details with regard to parking for Hampton Court - this information was sketchy at best. I recommend parking at Kingston Grammar School (Ditton) for any future Hampton Court Flower Show visitors - £6.00 to park and catch a ferry directly to the Riverside Gates from The Albany Pub
Bedroom was small - no space for 2 cases and a single wardrobe in which a long dress could not in hung up in & pillows very uncomfortable impossible to tell the difference between soft & firm pillows even though they were labelled! The fridge did not really keep anything cold and the bedroom was very dusting - showed up more as all grey and black decor.
Staff were friendly and breakfast was great - shame about the sitting - very modern but not very practical.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DT67 Friendly and comfortable
I have never quite understood the premium price of London hotels but Holiday Inn certainly don't stretch the point too far with a pretty reasonable price for the locale.
What makes this hotel stand out for me is the reception you get when you stay there. I had not been back for 12 months and yet was still greeted by a member of staff as if I had only been there a few weeks ago.
The staff in general are friendly, helpful and you always feel as if you are the most important person staying there. Also, you tend to notice the number of the staff that are still there the next year - a rare thing in hotel staff generally.
I find the beds a little firm for my liking but, this is purely a personal preference and they cannot cater for every taste.
The restaurant has recently undergone some changes in the menu but has maintained the level of quality that I have had over the last three years.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TwoSs Friendly staff and a good position
We stayed two nights whilst visiting Hampton Court Flower Show. The hotel was very convenient for a relaxing half hour walk to the river ferry which took us straight to Hampton Court, a most peaceful way to begin the day and return in the evening.
The staff were both friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast in the hotel, it was self-service, there was a good selection and it was tasty and hot.
The rooms were clean and functional and quiet. There was air-conditioning, much needed this time as we had a summer!
I would recommend this hotel.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by octodoc Holiday Inn Kingston and Hampton Court Flower Show
Lovely location on a fine stretch of The Thames. Staff uniformly delightful and helpful.
Not without glitches
1. Arrived Sat 6th July amidst major computer crash. Couldn't book in electronically. Waited 2.5hrs to check in (nicely placated with free drinks [which I neither needed nor particularly wanted but didn't turn down!]). Eventually checked-in manually, which meant that key didn't work the following day.
2. Location: quoted @1/3 mile from Hampton Court Palace. Hmmm..... clearly "as the crow flies". We were to go to gala premier of the flower showw; figured correctly, that it would mean traffic gridlock; intended to walk. It was after all, only 1/3 mile. Fortuitously we did a recce on foot during the day. It was 2-3 miles on foot (your staff did warn us). Ended up taking the car to the premiere, which rather defeated the object of booking this hotel.
Whatever...... was a nice hotel, the Flower Show was sublime and the room was at a goof tarriff.

The second Holiday Inn we have stayed in this summer & the second to have problems
Bed & pillows very uncomfortable impossible to tell the difference between soft & firm pillows even though they were labelled!
Air con switched off once you left the room & during our stay the average temperature was 28c so the room was very uncomfortable when returning from a day / evening out
The air con was also quite noisy making sleeping a problem we had a choice between quiet & unbearably hot or cool & noisy!
Additionally the "FREE" internet was not working in our room throughout the stay

Liked this hotel , beautiful view/location . caring staff.
Comment : Safety reason, glass door very heavy. .Opens inside hence very little room, esp when 2 persons sharing.
When on bed , toilet is in view whenever door opens. No privacy with glass door. When at sink and door is opened or one turns around you bump into door. needs some attention for safety reasons as well.
I lost half my big toe nail while opening glass door.
I would NOT like this comment to be published but passed on to relevant department so this could be addressed. Thank you.

This hotel has the best staff. Always helpful. Even with my baby in my most recent stay, they were fantastic. Nothing has ever been too much trouble. Rooms are nice and functional even if not huge.
Wish parking was easier, but always managed to park.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SuzyQ87 Very comfortable room, annoying wifi, no Sky channels but rubbish parking
My son and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Saturday night was very busy and noisy with a wedding, Sunday's breakfast was noisy and very busy with hung-over wedding guests. Monday's breakfast was a much quieter affair with very attentive service.
Overall the room itself was very comfortable and we slept well. The view over the river was delightful despite the noise of the busy road.
There was very little storage for clothing etc. If we had been staying for any longer the lack of storage would have annoyed me. The shower was good even though the small glass screen was poorly fitted allowing water to run to the floor.
The WiFi was annoying and didn't always connect. Every time you left the hotel you would have to go through the whole logging in process once again.
The parking allocated to guests was inadequate. It is quite a walk from the small car park to the entrance of the hotel. As we arrived in a downpour this was not ideal. There weren't enough parking spaces. Guests ending up parking in spaces clearly allocated to the surrounding businesses.

The hotel is in a great location, leave your car in the car park and use the local bus which stops opposite. We found the hotel very comfortable and quiet, very comfortable beds and good rooms. Our only niggles were that I had to stand up to dry my hair as the mirror above the desk was too high and the side mirrors freaked us out every time we came out of the bathroom....only small niggles I know.

We have stayed at this hotel on two occasions now whilst visiting family.
From the warm welcoming smiles of the receptionists on arrival to the friendly efficient staff and lovely food, we have thoroughly enjoyed both visits.
The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the views of the river from the balcony make for a very relaxing stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BK28 Great service made the stay memorable
This Holiday Inn stands out from the crowd.
The attention to detail is evident - right from check-in - through the bar and restaurant staff - to the seamless check-out experience.
The food is a better standard than almost all Holiday Inns that I have stayed in (and that's a lot!#.
The Indian menu is superb!
Negatives - the car park is around 150 mtrs behind the hotel #unless you can bag the few spaces at the front)
Positives- Staff atitude, range of beers, quality of food, standard of rooms. The position of the hotel - just outside Kingson - and facing the river Thames, I was upgraded to a room with balcony and looking out across the river on a sunny evening was superb!
