Unknown to me when I booked, there was a large wedding party.
This was not a problem, except that the very loud music from the ground floor was clearly audible from our room on the third floor. This, plus the fact that the party didn't end until gone 1am, left us exhausted the next day.
A shame, as the standard of service and room quality was good.
I would suggest in future that the music volume is moderated, and the proceedings finish at midnight.

The welcome staff at the desk were cold and unhelpful. Room was not ready until an hour after check in was supposed to happen, no apology and long draw out checking in process twice.
When i did get my room and just wanted to relax someone else's luggage was in there which made me worry someone else had been given key to the same room! Staff came to take the bag and they didn't know what was happening (no idea if other person got their bag back?!) and once again no apology or offer to rectify wasting my time.
Bathroom switch from shower to bath didn't work. Asked for complimentary products as listed available in the bathroom and nothing available. It just seems completely disorganised there which made the visit stressful when it should have been easy and smooth.
Breakfast was good, the staff there were nice but also didn't seem like they had very good English speaking skills which i imagine could be difficult if you actually needed something important.

I am a regular at this hotel and have never been let down by the room quality or service from the staff. very impressed with all aspects of this hotel (those I use anyway!).
One very minor niggle though. Being a newly appointed Platinum Elite member I was looking forward to the possibility of a room upgrade. I appreciate that these are only available where there is availability but was buoyed by the chance when I saw that the hotel was advertising room upgrades on its electronic advertising board at reception.
No upgrade for me though ....
Not put off though. I am back next week and will continue to use this hotel and brand.
