Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, great view The hotel is old, but the rooms are up to Holiday Inn standards for decor, linens and beds. The rooms were very small. Our view was excellent, oceanfront. The balonies are very tiny and right next door to the next guest. Actually they could be on their balcony and look into your room. The breakfast in the restaurant was terrible and it was very expensive. I can't say for the lunch or dinner as we didn't eat there again. The staff was very nice and attentive. The front entrance was okay except for the couches sitting around with smokers. March 4, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Too confusing I made these reservations over the phone with Holiday Inn ...the reservations lady, verified for me that we could have a lower level room, ocean side with direct access to the beach since we were traveling with pets. She double checked to reassure me. When we arrived we were on the fifth floor--there weren't even ocean level rooms in this hotel. Then the ad said two restaurants across the street for breakfast options--Nope, only one restaurant in the hotel--expensive, when most provide a free breakfast--- and a nicer restaurant for evening meal. Now, the real clincher was the pet fee that was never mentioned until check-in. It was very expensive when most are $25. The clerk did cut the rate in half for me since the reservation person never mentioned any fee. I was already paying an expensive rate per night for midweek/off season. That will be my last trip to Myrtle-Surfside!!! February 17, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unconfortable staying Normally I'm very pleased with my staying at this hotel but this time I was unable to relax ,heather was making a loud noise ,unable to fix it and they want to move me to different room not exactly what I booked on the first place and at the time was already 1:20am , I end up checking out , they said manager will contact me same morning and I was going to be refunded and instead I got charge full price and manager never call me back . I called and the lady that answer the phone at the front desk told me that she spoke with the manager and he told her that he has spoken with me already , I told her that wasn't the true , I called back back and they are going only to refund half , manager still hasn't call and to be honest I don't think he even cares February 11, 2015
