The hotel is in a great location. The oceanfront rooms provide a fantastic view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and helpful. No problem there. However, the outside appearance of the hotel looks worn down. Inside, the rugs are stained, making them appear dirty. The room's interior was out of date and depressing to the eye, and smelled musty. The sliding door to the balcony was in need of repair. It was extremely hard to open and close. When closed, a gap remained at the top causing the wind coming through to make a whistling sound, interrupting our sleep. The breakfast meal in the restaurant was not worth the cost. The coffee was lukewarm, the pancakes, biscuits, and french toast were hard from setting in the pan too long, the scrambled eggs and cream beef gravy were cold, and the fresh fruit had no taste. To their credit, the waitress provided us with freshly made pancakes.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nursetam12000 Myrtle Beach Holiday Inn Oceanfront
First of all the staff that work there are all upbeat and very accommodating and all seem to be happy with their jobs and happy to make your stay as good as it can be. The hotel itself is very worn and dated. The oceanfront rooms are really small compared to other places in Myrtle Beach. They were as clean as they could be but again very worn and dated. The breakfast was not complimentary as they are in most Holiday Inn establishments. Overall it was an ok experience. Would I stay there again? Probably not with all the other options available.
