Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value and great service We have stayed here several times on a dinner bed and breakfast offer, we have never been let down in any way at all. Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in this area. April 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel, always recognised I stay in Swindon on average 2-3 nights per month, I am always recognised as a card holder and I am regularly upgraded to a bigger room with more work space. Staff are always friendly and polite, food is good and fresh but no Baked Potatoes? Overall, a good Hotel, easy for motorway access and trips too and from workplace April 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BEWARE BREAKFAST NOT INCLUDED Upon arrival at check in my wife and I entered a confrontation about breakfast no longer being included in the price of our stay. To resolve the issue the receptionist offered a complementary breakfast, which was very good of him. The web site does not display both rates, inclusive and exclusive, but rather exclusive only. We checked after our stay and there isn’t any description or explanation as to their change in policy on the web site to guide the public. This is all so misleading to well season travellers like us breakfast has been included in all our other stays in both the UK and across the USA. We thought the Swindon hotel looked old and tired, as did the décor inside. On a positive not the room was clean, the pool was warm and inviting, the breakfast was ok and the staff were polite and efficient. Shame about the website issue! March 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Despite the hotel being full for the weekend, the guy on Reception did a remarkable job in transferring me to a non-smoking room - my wife really appreciated all his efforts. Many thanks. March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service Staff are friendly and helpful - stay here because of that February 27, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms In Need of Renovation Hi Have stayed at Holiday Inn Swindon several times over the past few months and whilst its OK, its not a great experience. The rooms appear a little "tired" and the bathrooms in particular are in need of renovation January 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth a visit you and you will not be disappointed We could not praise the staff enough for their generousity and thoughtfulness. The reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff were welcoming and gave attention to detail in all areas during our stay. We have been visiting family and friends in England and Wales due to early medical retirement. This hotel ticked all the boxes for a wonderful time. It is calming, relaxing, yet inviting with offers of excitement in the pool and gym areas. It is quiet yet always has visitors through its doors. The food is hot and tasty and presented well. It is highly recommended if you want nights away which you are guarenteed to thoroughly enjoy. We do not have any connections with the staff or anything to do with the Hotel, but felt the need to speak up about what is good and what needs to be celebrated and passed on for others to enjoy!!! Well done to all staff at Holiday Inn Swindon-Marlborough Rd and a BIG THANK YOU x x January 18, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tired - needs updating The accommodation is tired and needs updating. Felt room was smaller than usual but that might just have been because it was quite dark. Valerie, the cleaner, was very friendly and helpful and staff member at check in was friendly. Not so impressed by receptionist when our paper failed to arrive ("it must have been stolen") but persevering led to it being brought to me (it had been delivered to the wrong room). There were staff problems leading to the swimming pool being closed for most of our stay although prime reason for staying was to visit the Outlet Centre. Didn't matter that we were not upgraded because the main thing I like about that is having a small fridge. I was informed there are none in any of the rooms and the rooms are not that much different anyway. January 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Stopover Overall a good hotel, great staff, very helpful on check in, all public areas clean and well maintained. Food and service in both the restaurant and bar was first rate, even for the comedy value of the waitress knocking the guy on the table next to us's beer all over his lap. The room was adequate size and had all that was needed, however it did come across as very tired, in need of a total refurb to come in line with the newer HI's and HIEs standards. In a constant drive for consistent quality across the brand this is a must. The bathroom is included in the need for an overhaul. The second thing that needs addressing is the restaurant, it's bright, clean and spacious but it seems too clinical. It needs something to push it up a level. Would I stay in this hotel again is the acid test - yes cos for some reason it feels like home, and the staff are exemplary. I don't think I'd added anything that hasn't already been said about this HI. January 2, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff The rooms look a little tired in terms of decor and furniture, but the staff more than make up for it. Helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff throughout the hotel November 6, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great place for a relaxing weekend We have been to Swindon on several occasions and stayed at Marlborough Road each time. The staff are very pleasant and always willing to help. The rooms are more than adequate and have always been quiet and relaxing. The evening meals are very good, food always hot and varied. Breakfast is always good with a great selection to choose from. The leisure facilities are always clean and again the staff are always willing to help with anything you may require, Overall a really nice place to stay for a relaxing weekend. November 3, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly and efficient staff We enjoyed a 2 night DBB break and found the hotel very convenient for visiting both the Cotswolds and Wiltshire. The staff were efficient and helpful. Only one tiny negative that the executive room did not have slippers as advertised and the hotel staff could not find any. The break was excellent value for money. October 22, 2012

We had an enjoyable stay and would return in the future. October 16, 2012
