The staff make a hotel, and this is why this is our favourite hotel in Sydney. Thank you so much for looking after us so well for our Wedding Anniversary. We will be back as soon as we can.

Hotel staff was quite pleasant, arranging for early drop off of luggage and ease of check-in. Check-out was a breeze, most important because I was running late getting to airport. Hotel condition was a little run down compared to others I stayed at, but it is quite convenient to Garden Island Naval Base (about 15 minute walk). Hotel is very convenient to restaurants and stores, and especially convenient to the Kings Cross train station.
Bed and pillows were a little uncomfortable as the bed was too hard. There is a good selection of pillow styles, but not quite what I like.

Satisfied with the service given. The front desk provides very kindly service during my check-in. No any big issue happened during my staying.

Fire alarm went off at midnight which was very scary and made me question my safety and the safety of other guests at the hotel.
When I asked front desk staff how they would compensate their guests for the inconvenience, they said they couldn't do anything about it...
I sadly won't be returning to this location or any IHG properties since I don't want this to happen once again and miss out on any sleep
