Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Hot Spot Everything about the property & service was good. The 1.5% surcharge when using a credit card is VERY VERY annoying and seen as a way to gouge a few extra dollars from customers. In other parts of the world I have received a substantial discount for using an AMEX. My iPhone Hot Spot did not work in my room, do you have a "blocker" so that guests have to use your chargeable internet ? Better still offer free internet, some hotels do. October 24, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spaciuos room, clean and comfortable. Perfectly located accross from the active and famous Darling Harbour Park. Walking distance from most downtown activities. We found Sydney generally expensive. having stayed at other Holiday Inns during our Asian travels the hotel's standard was very good overall, but much more expersive than other Holiday Inns in other countries. This is more to do with the city than the hotel. Highly recommended. Travellers from Barbados. October 24, 2012

Special mention must be made of Jarrod, , Nicole (Nicki ) , Jason .also the dining room staff excel in good manners & wonderful personal service. The Staff who deliver Room Service are. pofessional , most helpful and are to be commended. All the Staff have never failed to deliver anything but 100% on our many stays now at the Hotel. This excellent service is a major factor in our choice of accommodation. October 24, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome room service but a bit too much noise Stayed the night before going into hospital and was hoping for a nice relaxing night before being admitted for cancer treatment. Unfortunately I did not get much sleep as all I could hear until 530am was club music thumping in my ear drums. Other than that the room service food was fantastic, service from all staff was great and room was clean and comfortable. October 18, 2012

I was allocated a nice room with view towards harbour, with lots of natural light. The room was very clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Staff were very good. Very good value for money. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by all is average, just location. The receptionist (a boy like arabian) promised to deliver daily newspaper to my room because I hold platinum. Every time I asked to him, he just said perhaps somebody stolen and he asked me to read it at restaurant. The newspaper never been delivered until check-out. September 7, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn Hotel Experience This is the worst holiday Inn hotel I have ever stayed in. The room at the end of the corridor was very poorly laid out and was very smelly. The bathroom was of very poor quality and decor with very old looking shower curtain and shower head. Bathroom did not have any exhaust fan. I orginally booked one double & a single bed room but was the reception told us that they have upgraded us to a 2xdouble bed room. But when I asked them to change my room I was told by the staff that hotel is fully booked and they can not give me any other room. The room number was 172 . It does not actually looked like a hotel room. Really bad experience August 27, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value and location Our room facing Victoria St was adjacent to a noisy club which played loud music till about 4am. The loud music kept us awake all nite. The next morning we mentioned this situation to the front desk. They immediatly made arrangements to relocate us to a quieter room. We thank the staff for their gracious help in this regard. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Sleep At The End of Long Trip We were graciously greeted after a long flight from the states. Our request of not being in the front of the building was honored but our booking didn't enable us to be on the Harbor side which was OK seeing as we spent very little time in our room other then sleeping. The location was great for catching the Hop On-Hop Off bus and the site made it easy for friends to meet us. On the down side we didn't find any terrific restaurant within walking distance not to say there were a few that could satisfy our hunger. All in all we had no regrets and would recommend the hotel to friends. We have fallen in love with the Aussies. July 12, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Comfortable in a Good Location We stayed here for 5 nights prior to a cruise. Friends laughed when we told them that we were going to be staying in the Kings Cross area, but we found the location to be ideal for just about everything. There is a supermarket across the street with a liquor store and there is a good selection of restaurants and take-outs within a short walk. The Kings Cross train station is literally right beneath the hotel. We had paid extra for a room with a view of the opera house and bridge on the 7th floor and considered it to be well worth the extra. The room and bathroom were huge and comfortable, although one of the elevators had a tendency to forget to stop on our floor ! We would definitely stay here again if ever in Sydney. July 10, 2012

Found restaurants around the area when exploring and the walk to the waterfront was pleasant and not too far.
