Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our Sydney Vacation This was our 4th visit to Sydney but our 1st stay at the hotel. Convenience at the doorstep literally - the train network is just next door! The Family room was comfortable enough for 4 - two adults and two kids - with queen size beds to boot. With a hotel staff like Jared! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by service and charges We arrived at the hotel (from the airport) at 10:00 am (after a very long trip in Sydney's CBD#. We could not get into our room before 14:00 and it seemed like there was no special effort to arrange for an early check in. Also: as loyal club members we were granted free WiFi in Hong Kong. Why can't this arrangement also apply to your hotels in Australia #we are flying today to Melbourne, where we booked the Crown Plaza, and it would be nice to receive complimentary Wi Fi in this hotel)? In genral, the price of the hotel is OK, but the additions of the WiFi and parking charges are very expenssive. November 28, 2012

The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfasts are very good in the Sirocco and the waiters at dinner are always there to ask how it is, etc. The location is great being right next to the entrance of the Kings Cross subway station - ever so handy for hopping on the train. But it's also not a long walk to go down via the stairs to the naval docks and then across the freeway to the Domain and to places like the art gallery or to the CBD. Indeed location is one of the important factors. Of course we always make use of our Priority Privilege 2 nights for price of one voucher and the discounted meals. November 26, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel Holiday Inn Potts Point is a very nice hotel. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and quick to assist a guest when they need assistance. The hotel is conveniently located next to Sydney CityRail Kings Cross station. Harbour View rooms provide an excellent view of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was mindful of the Do Not Disturb sign. Only drawback during my stay is that the hotel does not have a pool. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay and I would do so again on another visit to Sydney. November 25, 2012

I always use the gym that is generally well maintained. I like the fact that I can leave me car at the hotel, cross the road for a fast train to the CBD, and then return. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Above and beyond. We had eaten in the hotel several times during our stay and wanted to try Oriental food our last night. When we inquuired at the front desk, Chef Joseph from your staff was there and suggested a fine Vietnamese restaurant - but while giving directions, he said, "I have a few minutes, I'll walk you there." That was trememdous service and put a great exclamation mark to end our three weeks in Australia. We will keep the HI Potts Point in high regard and recommend it to friends traveling to Sydney. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful understanding staff My wife has mobility difficulties so showing in the bath in our first room was very difficult and unsafe. When the conceige was asked to help another room with a walk in shower was provided with a shower chair. When our children arrived on an early morning flight to check in the staff on duty were kind to let them book in early as the rooms were ready. Anything asked of the staff was no trouble. We felt safe in the hotel and also in the car park. We had a great time. Thanks to all the staff. We will certainly return again. November 4, 2012

We made two seperate stays as we also sandwiched in a trip to New Zealand as well. Unfortunately I left a sports jacket behind after the first stay. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice big room overlooking the harbour. I have stayed often at this hotel and usually enjoy the experience, but this time when I entered the room, there was an awful smell. I thought it may have been dampness and tried circulating the air with the cooling system, but that didn't help. I was glad to leave the hotel this time to breathe fresh air. October 27, 2012

The 1.5% surcharge when using a credit card is VERY VERY annoying and seen as a way to gouge a few extra dollars from customers. In other parts of the world I have received a substantial discount for using an AMEX. My iPhone Hot Spot did not work in my room, do you have a "blocker" so that guests have to use your chargeable internet ? Better still offer free internet, some hotels do. October 24, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spaciuos room, clean and comfortable. Perfectly located accross from the active and famous Darling Harbour Park. Walking distance from most downtown activities. We found Sydney generally expensive. having stayed at other Holiday Inns during our Asian travels the hotel's standard was very good overall, but much more expersive than other Holiday Inns in other countries. Special mention must be made of Jarrod, , Nicole (Nicki ) , Jason .also the dining room staff excel in good manners & wonderful personal service. The Staff who deliver Room Service are. pofessional , most helpful and are to be commended. All the Staff have never failed to deliver anything but 100% on our many stays now at the Hotel. Unfortunately I did not get much sleep as all I could hear until 530am was club music thumping in my ear drums. I was allocated a nice room with view towards harbour, with lots of natural light. The room was very clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Staff were very good. Very good value for money. Every time I asked to him, he just said perhaps somebody stolen and he asked me to read it at restaurant. The newspaper never been delivered until check-out. September 7, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn Hotel Experience This is the worst holiday Inn hotel I have ever stayed in. The room at the end of the corridor was very poorly laid out and was very smelly. The bathroom was of very poor quality and decor with very old looking shower curtain and shower head. Bathroom did not have any exhaust fan. I orginally booked one double & a single bed room but was the reception told us that they have upgraded us to a 2xdouble bed room. But when I asked them to change my room I was told by the staff that hotel is fully booked and they can not give me any other room. The room number was 172 . It does not actually looked like a hotel room. Really bad experience August 27, 2012
