Positioned a couple of minutes from the Kings Cross railway station, the hotel is extraordinarily convenient to Sydney CBD. The views, if you pay the little extra for the harbour view rooms, always are spectacular. Staff are unfailingly warm and accommodating and the public spaces are very comfortable.
This is now our staying place of choice when we visit Sydney

The overall experience was fantastic. From the moment we arrived till we left, our needs were well taken care of. The hotel staff even took the effort to call the room and check if we needed anything. The view from our room of the city was also amazing. We will highly recommend this place

Stayed here as opposed to their other location due to proximity to the RAN base and access to mass transit. Had a minor hiccup, but hotel staff corrected the issue promptly. Upon my return, I will probably stay at this location again, but may upgrade to a higher level room.

Definitely good value for money in a great location.
Staff friendly and helpful if any advice needed.

This was a 'mercy mission' stay. A previous points booking through the IHG website didn't actually work. I arrived at hotel but the booking didn't exist. Apparently two totally separate systems, Anyway I thought I would try again.
Had booked a standard queen room but was upgraded due to Platinum status to a twin-queen room. For one person that was simply silly.
I really wish IHG would offer similar standards across all brands. In one Holiday Inn you get a toothbrush pack in others you don't. In one brand you get a complimentary bottle of water in other hotels you don't.
Towels are worn.
There needs to be clear simple instructions that the 'old school' paper-based hotel information books and room service menus are now TV-based.
